-Undine motioned for them to follow. Stopping before the corpse of the Grotesquery, she snarled in a strange language. It sounded like crackling flames. Then, she motioned again to the humans. -"Come, we must depart with even greater speed than before. I will not rest until we reach a place where I can be certain of our safety."
-They marched on towards the burned forest. There was no life within that place, and the charred branches seemed to reach out towards the travellers menacingly. For a place that the elemental deemed safe, it certainly didn't seem so. In fact, to judge by appearances, most would assume there could be fewer less safe places in the world. Malice and wrath were heavy in the air. -After a long silent walk, they reached the centre of the forest; a large dark blue lake. Its surface was as still and silent as the black forest that surrounded it. By this time it was night, and the countless stars of heaven's field were mirrored on the inky surface.
-Undine sighed as she walked a few paces into the water. She then turned to the puzzled, subdued men. -"This is my home. The place I was born. We shall rest here tonight." She walked further into the lake, calling back over her shoulder, -"If you wish a fire, gather some wood from the trees and tell it to light. Be careful not to use too much." -With that, she melted into the lake, which recieved her with a large silver ripple that disturbed the whole surface for one long breath. -Then all was still again.

Luke looked up at the brilliant moon and sighed in almost a peaceful tone "You guys get the fire going... I think I want to have a bath." Luke sighed, recalling the disgusting demon baby...creature and thought to himself what on earth it could be...
Having made his way to some nearby trees, Luke placed his coat onto the thick branch, along with a few strips of the leather he wore underneath leaving himself mostly stripped except for what could essentially be called "Swimming trunks" walking over to the edge of the lake looking over the surface solemnly before taking a deep breath and shouting "LOVE AND PEEEEEEEEEEEEACE" diving off the edge into the clear liquid, coming back up for air as he swam around a bit, catching his breath before finally coming to rest on a nearby rock, most of himself submerged as he layed back and enjoyed the rather serene sky.

*Matt watched Luke jump into the pool so he decided to get the fire going. He sat at it for awhile and decided to light a cigarette, he took a few drags off of it and then he put it out and got out his last bottle of whiskey. He took a swig from the bottle and put it back where he got it from. After abit of relaxing he got up and walked towards a tree and took a nice warm piss. Then he went back to the camp and layed down for a nap.*

-Now with the help of the light, Butch sat down and grabbed a small stick. He then proceeded to draw in the dirt, using the stick as a pencil. He drew very crude depictions of the giant lizards that he wished for so bad, his tongue sticking out slightly as he concentrated. Then for some bizarre reason his mind started to wander and he started to draw things like a huge muffin button, Phillip with a massive head, giant metal, fire breathing llamas, and even a small underwater city at one point. When he was done most of the ground surrounding him was covered in what looked like a child's depictions of their fantasies. Butch nodded, content with his work and then laid down, using a small log as a pillow.

-Undine's head reformed, emerging from the lake near Luke. -"You are wondering, are you not, about the creature we saw this evening? You seem to have a more curious, more refined mind than the others. I remember when you were injured...against that metal monstrosity. You saved her. It would've killed her, and you saved her..." -The elemental's voice tailed off as she pondered the finer nuances of the human heart and soul. The pause lengthened. Eventually she sighed, sending small ripples across the lake. -"It was a god."
-She ignored his stunned look and continued. "One of the beings that made this world, and left it empty and cold in the void. Others brought life to it, gave its heart a rhythm to beat to. Then they returned, and declared lordship over it. All other creatures were servants before them." -Her face twisted again with hate. The water grew a little colder. -"They are cruel and demonic. Indeed, they have made enemies of even the most depraved demons, such is the depth of their evil. They are our enemy, and the enmy of those most powerful beings that they sought to humble." -"It may be that they seek the destruction of this world. It may be that they do not. But there are only two things certain. The first, that this world will never be safe with them in it. Second, in this war, they are most definitely, as you would say, the bad guys."
-Her head began to merge again with the water. -"Bathing was wise. This water will heal and refresh you. Now sleep. The journey tomorrow will be longer and hared than today. We must reach the Weaponmaster swiftly." -With that, she had vanished.

Luke jumped a bit at the sudden appearance but quickly recognized her familiar features and listened. Nodding along with her as she spoke, he offered thank yous to her gracious compliments, feeling himself turn a bit red as he added "Of course I saved her... I couldn't just stand by and do nothing after all" he chuckled a bit as he let her continue, shifting in the water so to face her better. As she described the being Luke frowned at the truth behind the being though nothing compared to Undine's hate, which held reason, shivering a bit as the water reacted to her emotions, that and his own recollection of the being. Luke only spoke once during the description of the beast mentioning "Hopefully in the next fight with the thing, I will be more useful." Nodding as she finished and disappeared, Luke found himself whispering a swift goodnight to her in return, bathing a few more moments before retrieving his clothing and falling into a deep slumber back at camp

-Talfen watched the three go about their business, slightly amused at how lightly they were taking it all in camp, yet still so mesmerized by everything to be had, like the magic or dragons. He wondered where these strangers came from, the strange weapons of the man in red, the simple man in his armor, like a child with his drawings and fascination. Finally, the other man who had little to note of, yet anyways. Talfen was sure he'd prove himself unique in times to come, as the others had... he hoped... Talfen had also meant to ask them about their origins, and he figured it'd be best to go to the man in red, as he felt him honest and trustworthy. -As he waited for his return from the lake, he took just enough wood to feed the fire while waiting. Just as Undine had said, nothing extra that may go to waste. -As the man in red returned from the lake, Talfen easily saw how tired he was, and thought it would be best to leave him be until a later time with his questions. Talfen made sure the fire was in order, and went off to sleep silently.

-The forest returned to silence. It remained that way long into the night. Even Undine slept, in her way, relaxing within the waters of her birthplace. -The stars and the full bright moon lit the forest well. So much so that when other creatures arrived amidst the blackened trees, they did not need to light torches or lamps. -Like a slow, unwieldy dragon, the airship touched gently down into a clearing, some way from the camp. Its crew disembarked, wielding bright finely honed axes. Slowly, their voices began to filter through the charred trees.
-"Cap'n, I dun like this. Its to quiet, aint it? This place gives me shivers, it does." -"Hush, fool. There has been no life in this place for decades." -"Sorry Cap'n." -A third, slightly sneering voice asked, "If there aint nothing here, why do 'e need to be quiet, then, eh?" The sharp sound of a slap broke next. -"Because I said so."
-They said nothing for some time. The sound of chopping started up, as their axes cut into the burnt trees. Then the first voice again; -"Why does we want this wood anyways, Cap'n? Its all burnt and that." -The Captain's voice cut sharply through the silence, losing all semblance of patience. "I told you before, fool. Ths fire that burned this wood was a salamander's fire. It's magic. The mages are paying us a high price. Now get back to work!"
-These sounds drifted into the small campsite. Matt stirred, and awoke, to hear the men's voices, and the sound of a tree splintering and falling.

*Matt lifted his head up and shook as he heard a tree come down he crouched and automatically became invisible. (Dragoon armor) He drew towards the comotion and saw maybe 10 sky pirates hacking away at the charred wood caused by the salamander. He unsheathed the dagger he had found earlier and slit the throat of one guard and snatched the other one that would be the least likely to be seen if taken. He dragged him back to the campsite and took away all potential weapons.* "Luke, Butch....get up."

Stirring awake, Luke slowly opened his eyes to see Matt standing above him. "Matt? Why are yo-" Luke stopped suddenly noticing the struggling man in his grasp Luke raised an eyebrow looking back up at him "Geez Matt, I appreciate the offer but... I don't really... go for that kind of thing.. if you know what I mean." Luke scratched the back of his head smiling awkwardly at the man before him

-Butch was in a heavy sleep, and since he was wearing his armor while sleeping, he didn't hear Matt try to wake him up and kept on snoring loudly. He turned over onto his side facing away from the other 2, still in a deep sleep.

*He gave a quick slap to Lukes cheek and whispered.* "Listen you idiot!" *They hear the sound of men grunting and groaning and steel tools being put to use.* "They are harvesting wood and they arent supposed to be." *He threw the pirate to the ground and kicked him in the stomach causing him great pain.* "I suggest I go back there and you get some questions out of this scum bag."

Luke stared at the man for a moment before stuttering "Are you insane!? I ca-" It was too late, the man had already taken off towards the pirates he assumed, as Luke looked down at the half conscious man in front of him he sighed "How the hell am I suppose to..." suddenly Luke got an idea, dragging the man over to the Lakeside, Luke wasn't sure how to go about it so he leaned down and whispered "Undine? Are you there? There are intruders here and we need some answers outta this one... can you help us?" Luke asked, not sure what to do next so just kinda kicked the unconscious man into the shallow edge of the water, allowing him to be face up so he can breath.

-The lake remained still and silent, no change seen in the bright star filled surface.

*Matt went back there observed them for a couple minutes wondering why they were doing this. "Enough of this" he though and he turned his clocking on and started systematically killing the pirates untill it was just down to the boss man left. Matt went into a tree still invisible not being seen he wanted to see how he would react to all his comrades dying before he put an end to his life.*
