-It was a quiet day on the Olympus. The battleworn warriors, quick minded engineers, slightly harrassed cooks and the rest of the inhabitants were milling around the ship. A palpable air of boredom hung heavy in every room. There had been no action in at least two weeks; this was very unusual for a crew constantly on the edges of one battle or another. But peace, of a sort, had descended recently. Fallout, their noble commander, was much more peaceful now that fatherhood occupied him. So many battles had been fought and although their wars were not truly over, they had ceased for a time.
-In one particular room, a small group of warriors were gathered together. Their names, recorded thus in the memories of one particular elf were thus; Butch, Luke and Matt. These men were as bored as the others, but they did not feel that now. Today, this group of people was grieving. It had been a year today since the elf known as Arioch had vanished in one last blaze of glory. They had never found her body, but they knew that she must be dead. No one could burn that brightly, hit the ground with such speed, and survive. Perhaps she had been turned to ash and remained still on that asteroid, mixed with the ashes of their enemies. -The blonde man in his long red overcoat sighed, overcome with memories. Butch, today clad in normal clothing rather than his thick armour, turned his gaze from the window, to look around the three. He cleared his throat, then lifted his glass. They gazed at the glass for one long moment, then raised their own. "To Arioch" -As the glasses touched together, the clinking noise lengthened into a deep chime that filled their ears. The sound was loud, but not unpleasantly so, and it lasted for a long while. When the noise finally faded into silence, a glowing blue light lit the room. It emanated from a bright spark of light in the middle of the small room. Then, water began pouring from the light. -It flowed through the air, forming a humanoid shape, a familiar shape. A woman made of water with long hair, a cape of fins and eyes of the oceans. Undine regarded them solemnly. "It's been a long time."

-Butch sat up quickly. He stared at the form that just appeared for a while. He continued to stare, thinking hard. Just when you could literally start to hear the gears turning in his head, he found it. "You're that water spirit that had a pact with Arioch....so if you're here then that must mean...." More thinking. "She's alive?!"

Luke stared up at the mystic form in awe at first, letting the glass slip from his finger tips onto the floor with a shatter, never giving it a second glance. Slowly he allowed his eyes to register what was in front of him, before slowly speaking, as if afraid he may frighten this figure away. "U...Undine?" he started, before slowly standing up, yet not moving closer. "You are alive?!" He felt his voice shake in surprise when the next thought simply spilled out of him like an overturned pitcher "Arioch? Is she...?" Luke felt unable to finish the sentence, for fear of the true answer.

-The water elemental regarded them, taking in their shock and hope. -"We are alive. Of a fashion. Arioch and Salamander are one being now, as they were on the moment of their demise. But when we should have died, we were...called home. The orb we found brought us back to a world where we were living." She lifted her head, sending a ripple through her long hair. -"The orb's power forced through the barriers that kept us from returning home when this ship first dragged us out of our world." Her words were ironic, and there was no bitterness in her voice. -"When we returned, we were alive, and yet dead. We exist, a wraith of the world. But we do not truly live." -The elemental turned to look at each of the men in turn, her liquid eyes uncomfortably direct. "It may be that we can be healed, that we can truly live again. But that will come with the healing of our world. And for that, we need you. Will you come to Drakengard with us? Will you help us fix our world, free our world? Will you help..." -Her voice tailed off, her sorrow too great for her to continue. Instead, she lifted her arms and projected into their minds 'Will you help me save her?'

-Undine's message slammed into Butch's mind, actually forcing him to be thrown back slightly. The power of the message was too great for Butch's mind to handle without preparation. Finally Butch was able to understand what Undine could not physically say. "Of course I'll help you save her. She helped us take down that huge robot, it's the least I can do to help you." Butch then got up and walked up to Udine. He tried to pat her on the back, but his hand went right through, making him lose balance. Standing up straight, Butch acts like nothing happened.

Luke took another moment to absorb the message, the facts Undine were feeding to them all. Luke took a moment to look down, chewing the inside of his cheek before Undine finished her message, Luke stepped forward several steps, speaking all at once "Of course! I will gladly help you anyway I can! Especially if there is a chance Arioch is..." trailing off with the words Luke drew back his tongue before speaking again. "When can we leave?" He said after a moment of silence, drawing one pistol and flipping it skillfully in the air without giving it much mind.

*He paused for a moment and went into deep thought thinking if it would even be a good idea to consider something like this, there surely was no reward but she was his friend and it would be wrong to just abandon her.* "I suppose i will help a friend in need." *Thinking he would need it he swiped another whiskey bottle while they were talking.*

-The water elemental sighed, and it began to rain within this little room in the Olympus. -"Then go. Gather what you need, and swiftly! Although, you should be aware that my world it a little different to yours. Do not expect your power to be as fierce in the world of dragons." She hesitated as the raindrops fell through her body. -"Our guns are different. Go now! Swiftly! And...thank you." -She stood silently, and the raindrops began to swirl around her.

-Butch quickly ran to his room and attached the storage cell for his armor on his back quickly. Once he was done with that he grabbed a bunch of various melee weapons, knowing that nothing could truly effect them. He looked around, but nothing else seemed like it wouldn't be effected by magic or something like that. He then proceeded to activate his armor, it suddenly appeared around him and Butch did a quick systems check. Everything turned up good. Butch then went back to Undine and waited for the others to show up.

Luke didn't move far, simply waiting for the others, looking down at Undine not far from him. "I keep most of my gear on my person... I do not have much else to rely on besides my kicks." Luke chuckled, refering to the fact that his pistols were essentially his only means of attack, besides his rather impressive acrobatics and leg strength. "I am glad I can help in anyway however..." he let out as he awaited the others to finish their choires

-The elemental had now conjured up more water. As the three men drew close to her, the rain began to swirl quickly around all four of them. Soon, there was so much water that it made a shell and the current within it was so fast that it blurred the clear, transparent surface. -"Hear me, White Dragon! Hear the one who held your orb! Hear me and bring me home, so that doom may be decided!" -Undine's hair rose up and joined with the riot of water swirling around them. A fine film of water flowed under their feet. With the elemental's words, the water turned a bright glowing white. -'This is it,' the water spirit thought to the warriors. 'Now shall all of our dooms be decided. Things are now in motion that cannot be undone, until the ending of the world.' -Within the ball of white light that now eclipsed them, a line of black fire appeared. It began to draw a beautiful, intricate mark. Undine's eyes traced the familiar shape of a pact mark. The black fire completed the last elegant turn to reveal a pact mark shaped like two bows, string to string. -And each arrow was a dragon. -Then the black flames encompassed the white, as worlds began to shift. Being of a transient nature, this was a well-known sensation to the elemental. To the men with her, on the other hand, being wretched out of their world was not an everyday occurance. She sensed the predicted weakening that followed such a shift, and saw shock and a little fear in their eyes. She hoped they would not vomit. Then all other emotions were overwhelmed by a sense of familiarity, a sense of 'rightness'. She was home. -The sphere of black fire did not abate, however. Instead, a line of white fire traced words over the black. They were words that she knew, and yet were still smothered in mystery. And the words read thus -'The first of these shall be upon a White Dragon, for he is Conquest, and it is given to him to begin the doom of the world.' -Then all at once both white fire and black fire vanished.
-The four found themselves in a field, beneath a pale blue sky. A forest, not particularly old or large surrounded them on all sides but the north. In that direction, the heads of burned trees could be seen, and further to the north she saw a range of grey mountains scored by the bleak white line of a glacier. Satisfied, she nodded, and turned to her new companions to judge how they had reacted to the change of worlds. -On the edge of her senses, out of the forest to the south-behind them-life began to emerge.

-Butch slammed into the ground hard after a short fall. He quickly picked himself up and looked around. It seemed like none of the others had fallen. This didn't strike Butch as odd, this was just his luck. He then started to take in his surroundings. It looked like just an ordinary forest, but Butch could feel something was amiss. He tried to prepare himself, but since he didn't know what for, he was very nervous.

As the swirl of blinding light dissipated slowly, Luke suddenly felt very dizzy, kneeling down for a moment before slowly standing back up, clutching his forehead as he cursed under his breath, then slowly took in the scenery around him. It was beautiful, in a way he wasn't use to back in the wasteland, despite the scent of death in the air, which did not escape him and muddled the otherwise lovely landscape. "Its...rather beautiful huh?" Luke uttered as he gazed, straightening his yellow sunglasses with his middle and ring finger, ignorant of anything but gray desolation until now. "Ah...so where are we...?" He managed, finally tearing his gaze away from the land to Undine, he assumed, guild of this realm.
