-Undine nodded, satisfied. This brief fight with the Empire had done more than just refresh her mind about the fighting skills of the Olympus crewmen. It had also been a show of personality and moral that intrigued her. The intricacies of the human mind were fascinating. -She noted Matt's new possession with pleasure, and remark to herself that having money could only be an advantage. -She laid one gentle hand on Talfen's shoulder, her cooling touch halting him. "You are Talfen, yes? You fought at the battle against the Empire last year, when the fire fell from the sky? I wish to ask for your aid, if you will give it. I know that you exchange your weaponskill for gold, and I have no currency at the moment. However, if you care to take the righteous side, and help us drive the remnants of the Empire from the world...and fight against an even greater evil, I will see that you are rewarded. Know that you serve Caim and the Red Dragon again."

-Talfen sighed, and thought for a second, all that was really needed. "I suppose so, seeing as you can handle yourselves in a fight it makes it easier for me, seeing as I'm stuck protecting most of those I'm hired to go with. Although..." he looked to the one he would soon come to know as Matt "well, never mind. You can handle yourselves as a whole, payment enough in advance. Besides, I'll be content with fighting the Empire, I've got what I need, wealth does little for me anymore." Besides this, he thought fighting the Empire again would give him ample chance to encounter the man who had devastated his first unit, that more than anything.

-"Good. I'm glad you have decided to come with us. Now, are the rest of you finished? Because we should depart" -The elemental was bursting with anticipation to see her home again. Glimpsing the burned trees, even from this distance, had brought so many memories back of the uncountable years since her birth. Receiving an afirmative from the humans, she led them north.
-The sun began to slink away behind the mountains, and the sky became bathed in a golden light. The three warriors were forced into an unrelenting marching pace by the water elemental, who seemed eager to reach whatever their destination was. The southern forest fell away as they walked through lands that not even the well-travelled Talfen knew. But Undine knew them well, it seemed, forging forward with a firm purpose. -They walked up over a small crest in the undulating land, to see much closer now a burned forest spreading over a hill before them. The multitude of blackened trees were eeriely silent. The whole world seemed to be holding it's breath. -The reason for this became swiftly, horrifically, apparent.
-A small cluster of peasants was moving towards them in a haphazard, frantic manner. They seemed to be the remains of a small, very isolated village; the kinds of people who learned of war only after it was over. However this time they seemed to be not so lucky. They were being chased. -Floating behind them, moving itself throught the air with, presumably, some sort of magic, was a baby. This baby was somehow taller than a house. Silent, hairless and with skin that resembled marble more than living flesh, its lips were drawn back in a smile. It was a greedy, horrifying smile that exposed large white teeth. The impossible child raised one arm and motioned towards the fleeing refugees. -A middle-aged woman, clutching a bundle of fabric to her chest, suddenly burst into venomous green flame. Her screams were echoed by the other refugees. One young girl turned round to run back to her. -"Mama! MAMA!" -She was caught and dragged away by a wizened old man, who limped as fast as he could after his shrieking companions. The wash of noise from the peasants was suddenly drowned out. -The child was laughing. It was a normal, babbling child's laugh. And yet it was unhuman and disturbing, of a high pitch that was reminscent of some monster from a fairytale. To hear a child, a baby, delighting in murder...it could not be imagined.
-Undine was suddenly very still as she watched the hellish parade head straight for them. The water that made up her form swirled, and then the surface began to freeze, crackling as her face twisted in hatred. -"Grotesquery."
-The huge demon creature took the burning woman in its hands, lifted her up and sunk its teeth into her. The bundle in her arms slipped from that great height, and hit the ground with an unpleasant thud, wailing as it fell.

Luke looked up at the thing its face twisted into a horrid grin, Luke held his hand to his face shouting out, possibly to Undine, but more likely to the world itself "What the hell is that?!" As Luke watched the women get incinerated and the people attempt to flee, he clinched his fists in anger, drawing both pistols and instantly unloading onto the the demon creature, firing precise, heavy shots at the demon's skull, clinching his eyes shut as he listened to the bundle crash to the earth, causing him to run out in front of the group of people "Hey! You! Over here you abomination from hell!" He let fly two more heavy shots from his pistol into the thing from his spot.

-The bullets hit the giant baby's skin, but left no visible impression and did nothing other than draw the beast's attention. -The abomination turned to regard Luke, its eyes wide and innocent. The refugees ran towards the blonde warrior, struggling past him. The old man, still dragging the girl with him, stumbled, and was grasped in the demon-creature's hands. -The child squeezed the bodies, giggling as it did so. Blood trickled out from between its fingers. -It met Luke's eyes and smiled.
-Undine watched Luke's foolish attempt at heroics with disgust. What fool rushes an enemy he does not know how to fight? -She began to draw on her powers, but hearing a familiar voice, she let the power slip away. She, too, smiled.

*Matt watch closely at the baby and what it did he didnt appreiciate the slaughter of innocents or women but he couldnt try to be a hero he had to think of something first.* " Hmmm..." *He pulled the dagger out from the satchel he had placed it in earlier.* "The eyes..." *He attached a rope he packed to the dagger and ran to an angle where he wasnt directly infront of the baby but enough that he could throw the dagger at its eye. He sent the dagger hurling towards its eyes.*

-The dagger, birthed in dragon flame, span and blade first into the creature's left eye. The child screamed, a gargling high-pitched sound that chilled the bones. It tore the dagger from its eye with its bloodied hands, and floated towards Matt, reaching out to seize him. Its palm glowed with magic.
-Undine watched the Grotesquery move towards her allies. Then she lifted her eyes from the battle into the clouds, and watched with admiration as She plummeted through the golden sky.

-The huge flashes of light distracted Butch who was just about to pull out Shiskebab. He stared up at them, in awe. The only thing he could say was "oooh, pretty." His head tilted slightly and he continued to stare up at the sky, completely forgetting about the giant baby.

-The Grotesquery's gory fingers touched Matt's forehead, when suddenly a huge streak of red slammed into it. -Now locked in combat with the hideous abomination was an equally large red dragon. Its locked its jaws around the monster's head and twisted its neck back. -At the same time, it dug its feet into the baby's stomach, slashing the belly and spilling its intestines. -Having ruined its foe, the dragon broke away, hovering above the child as it fell to the ground with a horrible thud, screaming through what remained of its jaws as it plummeted, just as the bundle it had dropped before. -Turning in the air, the red dragon regarded the small band of warriors.
-Undine raised one hand, and sent a fountain of pure water into the sky. The dragon responded with a blast of flame. -There was a man on its back, dark haired and fierce looking. He raised a huge sword in salute. The red dragon then turned and flew away to the mountains, over the great glacier. -'You would do well to reach the Master soon. Time is not to be wasted' a growling female voice projected into each of their minds.

Luke stood there, a bit baffled by what just transpired, a dragon a living, breathing dragon just torn apart the thing his bullets had no effect on... Luke fell silent at first, looking down at his guns, opening the chamber side only to see a small bolt of energy jump out as if it short circuited. *Damn... Ill need to fix this later...* Luke thought to himself before looking to Undine who spoke of a master "I assume that man was your master then? He indeed seems powerful... I need to understand your world further, as my powers have little effect here." Luke whispered the second half more to himself as he turned to the corpse of the massive "child" shivering in disgust and turning away, urging the others to hurry

-The water elemental smiled, her watery form no longer frozen. "No. The voice you heard was not mine, but hers. The dragon's. That man is called Caim, and he is her pact partner, just as Arioch is ours. They fight on our side." -She lifted her head and looked to where the dragon had disappeared. "They are among our strongest allies, indeed. But neither the warrior nor the mighty Red are my master." She subsided into a thoughtful silence. -After a while, she returned her bright liquid blue eyes to Luke. "The Master she speaks of is the Weaponmaster. We will be going to see him soon. He will be able to help you."

*Matt stood there a glob of blood on his forehead just still trying to gather what just happened. Just trying to make sence of it all. He wiped the blood off of his forehead and picked the dagger up from the ground, he untied the rope and put it back with his other possesions. He then walked towards the two.* "What in gods name just happened...?"

-Undine frowned, glancing at the corpse. "It is unwise to invoke the name of any god here."

-Butch was just staring at the man on the giant flying fire-breathing lizard in awe. So many pretty lights coming from a single source, even the muffin button couldn't do that. Butch decided then and there that he would eventually get one of those flying lizards and make it his own.

-Talfen eased up slightly, satisfied with no need to intervene. It had been a strange creature, disturbing to see such a monstrosity born from an innocent child. He was somewhat intrigued seeing Caim here, odd that he would be attracted to the group, although with Undine here it shouldn't have been a surprise to him. Of course he would appear to a strong force that would oppose the Empire, as this was such a group. At least, it was becoming quickly apparent, quite odd to Talfen. A simple man memorized by some lights, a man in red with strange weapons firing projectiles, Undine without the pact partners, and a man of little to remark on. -Talfen brought up the subject "So, the Weaponmaster, why are we to see him exactly? Will he help our companions here, or something else?" leaving his sentence trail off a bit.
