-With a series of audible thumps, our heroes struck the ground. *message reduced*, being more accustomed to subspace travel, was the first to recover. He picked himself up, scanned his surrounding area and the let free a half sigh half groan. He knew this particular rift, and equally knew how difficult things were about to get. This was Dale, one of the Three Surrealities. -The party was stood on a large cliff of boulders and large winding oak trees, bereft of foliage, that were bound together in impossible geometry. Looking off the side, one could see no visual cliff face, but rather a straight shot down several thousand feet to some hills capped by a coniferous forest below. Far off to the left was a vast lake, its size only matched by its navigability. Beyond that, was nothing. Only the curvature of the realm was visable. What seemed to be an endless skyway of wood and stone was placed before them, so uneven as to render their objective invisible. -With a grimace the Free Martial Artist gave his short introduction. -"Eyes up, and stay on your toes lads. The regular rules of reality don't necessarily apply here. We'd best get moving. Things are about to get interesting."

-Crashing to the ground with tremendous force, Halt arrived out of the vortex, rolling to distribute the force from the impact. Even with that, he could still barely make sense of what he was seeing. Suddenly they were on a cliff, overlooking what, Halt could not say. He could see that the Free Martial Artist had already recovered from the trip. Halt could tell that he must have done this kind of thing before. -Halt grumbled something about forewarning as he pushed himself to his feet. Brushing off the dust that had made it's way onto his tunic, Halt looked to the other members and saw that they too were recovering from the trip. -Suddenly Halt noticed their surroundings, clearly for the first time. The forests around and below them. The lake to the left of them seeming to lead off to nowhere. "Where the hell are we?" Halt growled. -The Free Martial Artist seemed to not notice this and simply proceeded to say "Eyes up, and stay on your toes lads." -'Just great' thought Halt 'as if I hadn't heard that from you before.'

-"WOOO!" Fallout screamed as he came flying out of the portal, until he realized he was about to hit the ground, "OH SH-" He was interrupted by the hard ground. -He flipped and rolled a few times before landing flat on his back. He was then staring straight into the sky, "Awesome." He said before kicking himself up. -As he looked around he noticed that they were in a strange place, stranger than anywhere he had seen, and he had been on an alien ship for the past few years. -"Eyes up, and stay on your toes lads. The regular rules of reality don't necessarily apply here. We'd best get moving. Things are about to get interesting." He heard the Free Martial Artist say. -"If you say so." He then put his hands behind his head and began walking.

-The grin on Noven's face quickly dissipated as he saw he was about to slam into the ground. His body took the brunt of the force on impact, leaving a dull pain in his upper body. -He then heard Martial giving some order, he couldn't discern the words as a ringing was just leaving his head, but he'd figured the basic: 'Come on now, let's go." Noven then pulled himself up and sucked up his pain, fading now as he got back to his feet.

-And so our party took their first steps toward Mog knows what across this strange and impossible plateau. The 'features' (for lack of a better term) were so strangely placed that the majority of the time was spent climbing rather than walking. The visage of the lands below seemed to stagnate in their minds, with not clouds, wind, or binds in the sky to give it life. -As they traveled, *message reduced* did his best to explain to the rest of the party what was taking place. He went into great detail about the Three Surrealities being a few of the dicier possible subspace highways that could have been taken, and how the laws of Dalean Physics were not out own. -"And remember, there are things down there below us that are not only very hostile, but invincible to conventional attacks as you know them. If we're to make it to the other side, we're gonna have to think outside the box." -The continued on until they came across massive overlook. The skyway seemed to shift to petrifying angle aimed directed at the forest below.

-"damn foot, it always does this!!" Halt exclaimed as he pulled his foot, yet again from a large crack in the rock. "Now don't go wasting that, took forever for me to catch that thing!" *message reduced* yelled back from the front of the line. -After what seemed like hours, the group finally reached the end of the path. It ended just as it had started, a straight cliff down into the forest below...

-Looking out over the edge, the quick-fisted ferryman turned to the party with a gleam in his eye. -"Before we go further, theres something very important that you probably ought to know. But I don't really feel like going into it, so you're just gonna have to trust me." -With an unsettling simper, he leapt over the threshold to the abyss.

-"Crazy son of a bitch." Fallout said out loud. He then saw Noven was also peeking over the side, and got an idea. -He crept up silently on his friend, and whispered to him, "Ladies first." As he pushed him over the edge. He waited for a while and heard no thud, so he assumed Noven was alright. -"My turn then I guess." Fallout then dove straight into the darkness of the abyss.

-On his first impulse he shouted "FUCKEEEERRRRR~~~~" His voice beginning to fade into the out as he fell. Then again, as he fell, this is exactly the thing that he should suspect The Lone Wanderer for by now. Noven resigned himself to the fact that this quest was going to be a long and challenging, if only for the fact he'd be paired with The Lone Wanderer.

-Halt just stood on the edge of the cliff, witnessing 2 of his companions, and Noven, now out of sight, fall down surely to their deaths. He debated between his trust in Martial and what kind of situations Martial had gotten him into. In the end he simply said "Screw it." and dived off the cliff. Watching the stone pass him, he immediately regretted this stupid decision. He just kept falling.

-After what felt like several minutes, the party seems to be making no semblance of slowing down. Six eyes were all fixed on the swiftly approaching ground. Accelerating at 9.81 meters per second per second the forest below approached at a maddening rate. Eight hundred feet. Six hundred feet. Three hundred feet. Fifty feet! Ten! -Almost arms length from the ground, the entire well of gravity shifted to the left. Prepared for this, Martial spun his body until his feet faced the cliff face, roughly a few meters away. The party slammed into it, though without nearly as much speed as the cliff had accumulated. Martial, having landed on his feet rolled forward until his feet were beneath him once more. The tide of gravity turned once more and the party crashed into the soggy ground below them.

-Noven saw the ground rapidly approaching, but had an odd trust in Martial. He was experienced in this, so for him to jump meant it would be safe. But what Noven could think was still not enough to conquer his natural feeling of terror as the ground seemed read to give him the worst bitch-slap of his life. Suddenly, the whole of his body was tossed aside to the left. They all had done this, and all had rapidly decelerated, but still hit fairly hard. Martial rolled out of it, Noven crashed into the ground like when they had first arrived, yet not as painful with the ground soft and moist.

-'Well the novelty of this wore off pretty quick' Fallout thought to himself, 'Guess I'll take a nap,' He then put his hands behind his head and began to doze off. -As he was about to fall asleep he suddenly felt his entire body get jerked to the left. Before he could let out a single word he landed with a large thud, and rolled over a few times. -He was now looking up, and laying on his back. 'Well that was boring.' He thought. -He then stood up, dusted himself off, and checked his surroundings.

-Slamming into a wall sideways is not a good thing after climbing for miles. That being said Halt was pretty pissed when he crashed side first into the cliff wall. "MOTHER FU-!!!" Halt couldn't finish his sentence the pain was so bad. But soon, he was able to stand up and see where exactly they had landed.

-As the party picked it self up, they took some time to take in their surroundings. They were standing on a semi solid island, surrounded by what seemed like a moat of murky brown water. The cliff wall was nowhere to be seen. The island, which seemed to be made of pure moss so far as anyone could see, was about thirty feet in diameter. The only entrance or exit, it seemed, was a series of a dozen or so stones leading to the other side of the bayou. Beyond that were lands so over saturated with evergreens as to render the path unknown. The light was significantly limited by the canopy of needles above. -Approaching the bridge of stones, our heroes were stopped by an unearthly hiss. It was then that they noticed the pale red eyes leering at them from their stagnant blind. Agonizingly patient, they seemed to await the travelers at the rocks.
