-The Free Martial Artist couldn't believe what had just transpired. He'd just fallen for the oldest trick in the book. Well, maybe not the oldest, but he'd sprung an embarrassing trap. He flashed glances around the room. Noven, being closest to the vents went down first, clutching at his throat in a fruitless effort to keep consciousness. The Wanderer took a stance of steadfast resound, determined to steel himself to the last. The Big Beard instinctively phased into mist, but found himself pulled back into form. He collapsed onto the floor. The Wanderer took a swing at the merchant and connected with his chin, if weakly, but he was drained of his remaining strength and collapsed. Realizing the futility, Martial could hold his breath no longer. The world spun from green to black and he fell. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -The Lone Wanderer awoke in a cell, for lack of a better term. He checked himself and found all of his equipment remained with him. His heart skipped a beat as felt a weight in his knife holster, then plummeted as he found not his favorite trench knife, but rather an odd weapon he recalled to being told was a 'kukri'. With this the memory of the preceding event flowed back into his foremind. -He could hear a constant dull roar emanating from somewhere he could not determine. He stood on some sort of barred flooring atop a bed of sand. The walls seemed to be a heavy oak or some such wood. The door was similar, made of the same dry wood but in intersecting perpendicular bars. On the other end was a long tunnel with a patch of light at the end.

Fallout shook his head, trying to get his bearings as he took the situation in. He scanned his surroundings, trying to find his companions. Sighing as he saw that he was alone, he turned his attention to the wooden doors that laid in front of him, "Wood bars? Letting me keep my stuff? Long tunnel with a bright light coming from the other end? Fantastic. As if I hadn't seen enough weird shit today," he said, sighing as he gripped the handle of his new weapon, "it's no Skynard, but it'll do."
Fallout unsheathed the blade, giving it a few practice swings to get a feel for the weapon. After he was done, he turned to the wood. He made short work of it with a few quick slices, and gave an impressed whistle before sheathing the blade. He turned toward the light, walking towards it, and trying to figure out what had happened.

-As he approached the light, its luminescence as well as the noise grew exponentially. It was so bright his eyes didn't adjust until he was well out of the tunnel. When they did, they revealed the inside of a vast arena. The barred flooring gave way to pure sand. The sun singed his darkness softened skin a little. The walls seemed to be of the same heavy hardwood. The crowd above the 30 foot walls erupted in anticipation. In the walls were seven tunnels including the one he'd just come from, and a large steel gate to the town taking up one way. -Directly in the center, staring back at the Wanderer, was a hulk of a man. Perhaps seven feet tall, this behemoth's tanned and exposed skin looked black off of the bright sand. His gold nose ring shone like fire in the rays. His huge body seemed one big muscle with no semblance of form or tone. Veins popped out of him like black snake fireworks. In his hands, he appeared to be wielding what looked like a tomb stone. -A voice cried out from above. -"Ladies and gentleman of Baavir!," it came from a sky box opposite the door. There stood a man with a grand robe and turban, proclaiming to the crowd. To the left and behind him, was the skulking visage of the merchant. "Our first match is here. Fighters! This is an affair to the death! Winner be set free! Are you ready?" -The wastelander looked back to find the manbeast was already lumbering his way. -"BEGIN!"

Fallout stared at the large hulk of a man across this arena from him, "HEY! Where the fuck am I?" He asked, looking around the arena with a slight scowl. He was interrupted by the large hulking man giving a roar, and slowly lumbering in a strange jog run towards him, 'Sluggish, carrying a big weapon, and he's probably not very bright,' Fallout thought, grabbing the hilt of the kukri and unsheathing it as the man drew closer, "COME ON! Let's see what you're made of Frankenstein!" He taunted, motioning for the man to come at him with his other hand.
Fallout stood his ground as the giant grew closer, and as he got within swinging distance, the man raised the tombstone above his head, bring it down with a might force. Fallout dove out of the way, just barely missing being flattened as he brought up the kukri across the man's elbow.

-With a resounding thump the foreign blade rent a good four inches into the beast's arm. However, unaccording to plan, it held fast, presumably embedded in the creature's bone. The momentum of the maneuver combined with the brief surprise tore the knife from Falls hand. As he turned back, the goliath howled in rage and redoubled his assault, not even bothering to remove the kukri from his seemingly uninhibited limb.

'Oh well that's not good,' Fallout thought as he glanced at his blade that was now embedded in his foe's arm. He barely dodged the giant's attack, rolling out of the way just in the nick of time. He panted as he glanced at the thing, trying to think of a plan of action. As the giant finally turned his attention back to Fallout, he snapped his fingers.
Without hesitation he took off toward the lumbering man. The giant lifted the tombstone high above his head once again, and began bringing it down with great force. Fallout smirked as he jumped into a sliding position, shooting right between the legs of his foe.
Fallout spun around and got into a crouching position. He jumped at the back of the giant, wrapping his arms tightly around its neck as he struggled to stay on. Reaching out towards the face of the giant, Fallout grabbed onto the nose ring of the giant, giving it a yank as he attempted to pull it from the nostrils of the man. The giant screamed in what Fallout assumed was pain, but Fallout wouldn't release his grip. He could hear the skin and cartilage tearing, and could feel the nose ring being pulled lower and lower. Finally, there was no more resistance, and Fallout's hand yanked out the nose ring, along with a rather large chunk of the giant's nose. He smiled a somewhat sick and twisted grin as he gazed at it, admiring his handiwork for a mere moment before dropping the ring. He wasn't done yet.
The giant's eyes were now watering with the loss of half of his nose, and he was crying out in agony. Fallout used this time to tightly grip the sides of his head, squeezing the giant's temples with his palms. He lifted his thumbs in front of the giant's eyes. His thrust his thumbs forward, into the eyes of the giant. He pressed with all the might he could possibly manage, and felt his thumbs sinking into the giant's eye sockets. Finally, he heard a sickening squishy noise, and stopped applying force.
Before he got a chance to celebrate, he felt a hand grab him by the collar. The giant lifted Fallout of of his back, and tossed him with great force at the wall. Fallout slammed against it, and then fell onto his back on the ground. He laid there for a moment, as the breath was knocked out of him.
In a few moments, he mustered up enough strength to roll over on his stomach. Lifting himself up with his arm, he looked at the giant. It was furious, but it seemed to be growing weaker with the blood loss, and it had no way of seeing Fallout.
Fallout managed to lift himself to his feet, "Almost done..." he said under his breath, glaring at the giant with determination. He used his strength to dash toward his opponent, looking directly at the blade lodged in the giant's elbow. He gained momentum, running as fast as he possibly could at the giant. When he was finally close enough, he reached out, and used the adrenaline that was pumping through his veins to yank the blade out of the elbow of the giant. He quickly slid, spinning around and dashing right back at the man. Spinning the blade around, he lifted it up and sent it straight into the side of the giant's neck. Fallout twisted the blade around, making sure it was doing damage before he finally yanked it out.
The giant made a few gurgling noises before it finally collapsed to its knees, and then flat on its stomach. After a long, hard fought battle, it was finally over.
Fallout looked down at the giant, panting heavily, "Good match... good match..." he said before finally falling down, landing on his ass and panting even more. He held up the kukri, looking at the blade with a smile, "You need a name..." he muttered. He thought for a moment, contemplating as to what the name should be, "Something that's strong, big, and deadly... Scythe. I'll call you Scythe!" He exclaimed, sliding the blade back into his holster. He then looked around the arena, standing to his feet, "Can I leave now?" He shouted, wondering if he'd even get a response.

-The crowd burst into thunderous applause. Raining from the stands came a torrent of of small dusty gray coins, thrown in admiration of their champion. The resulting clouds of dust were mildly stinging to the eye. -"Very impressive, traveler!," bellowed the burnt skinned announcer. "People of Baavir City! I give you, the victor!" There were more cheers. "Pray tell, foreign warrior, what is your name?" -"Fallout L. Wanderer, or just Fallout. And you are...?" he responded with a note of chagrin. -"Merely an admiring fan. Gatemaster! Open. That. Gate!" Again there was a flurry of cheering. With a monumental creaking and cranking, the great metal gate was lifted. Fallout wiped the blood from his new weapon and cautiously made his way out. On the other side was the square he had seen when the party had come into town, now relatively empty. There seemed to be a table laid out with provisions, but alas, no sign of his companions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Alone in the dark, Noven came to with a slight but irritation headache. As it cleared, he found that his person as well as equipment had been left relatively unharmed. He seemed to be in a dark chamber surrounded on three sided by a heavy wood. The fourth side was a barring of dry wooden dowels leading to a tunnel with a patch of light at the end. The floor seemed to be a sand topped with iron barring. The moment seemed to be calling for Noven Ari to make a move.
