-The footsteps moved closer, and a guard moved into sight. At least, they assumed he was a guard, for he was armoured, carried a torch, and was very watchful. He paused for a moment, fumbling with something at his belt.

-Talfen saw the guard emerge, light with him, and knew they would be exposed soon if he were to even glance their way. "Zephyre, let's see about getting him to look the other way. What could we move about to distract him, without raising the, ah, curiosities of the entire warehouse?" "I believe I have an agreeable solution to that problem,"[/b] Zephyre churned the air about to make a lantern hanging overhead rattle, placed opposite of the group and the guard, with aims to have the man look back.

-The guard drew his sword and settled into a fighting stance before looking at the latern, then carefully scanning the area in that direction.

-Talfen then rushed forward, closing the distance while attempting to the best of his ability to keep his steps from making too much noise. He drew his sword, aiming to smash into the guard's head with the hilt, hoping to knock him unconscious.

-The guard span, lifting his blade, but the pommel of Talfen's sword struck his temple, and he collapsed wordlessly to the ground. By sheer luck, the guard's sword lay flat beneath him, and any noise it made was muffled.
-Across the warehouse, the voices became even louder. There was a large thud, and one of the voices became slowly louder, accompanied by angry, heavy footsteps. "Joff! Joff, get your lazy arse out here! Joff, you poxy whoreson!" This new voice paused, shouting back across the maze of crates "Don't hurt the boy before I get back, else I'll feed you to the faerie bitch myself." The footsteps resumed, coming closer to the group's loaction. "Joff, you thick fuck!"

-Having made his way up into the ceiling boards, Luke slipped a little further along directly above the man as he approached. Holding onto the edge, he angled his jump just right and lept down onto the guard's head, grabbing him and swiftly beating him over the head hard enough to knock his lights out. With the same almost feather like grace, Luke jumped with the man in tow over to where the one called Joff laid, and stuffed both unconscious bodies into a nice dark shelf somewhere.

Talfen made his way over to Luke, light on the feet to keep from making too much sound. Hushing his voice, as if the life were sucked out leaving only a ghost, he spoke. "Let's sneak our way over to the group this man came from, we'd best be quick, or they'll come alert. I'm sure that with one such as this man, the noise made, if lost, is enough sign for warning to the rest. We'd best be swift about enacting any plan as well, it would do no good if we were forced to lethal means on these people." He nodded his head askew for a moment, then set off slowly, in a crouched manner, blending to the shadows as a chameleon would. "Whisper on the way, if you've anything else you need to say." Talfen grinned about, glad to be doing something again, halting a bit to let Luke catch him.

Achintya followed a distance behind Luke, hands behind his back, face hidden in shadow. Not really noticing the stealthy way his two allies were moving through the warehouse Achintya plodded slowly forward, his short stature and quiet steps thankfully hiding him from the casual glance, his pom-pom bobbing ever so slightly, sending ripples of heat through the air, his mouth moving minutely, as if communicating with something unseen.

-The group made its quiet, twisting way through the maze of crates, boxes, bins, cartons, cases, caskets, chests, coffers, packs, packages, portmanteaus, receptacles, and trunks. The angled always towards the voices, until this pursuit yielded a steady light, as if from a lamp, which they made for. They gathered around the shadows that mantled a clearing in the general storage debris. The area consisted of a large round table (fully equipped with chairs), filing cabinents, two desks, and masses of maps and papers. It could've been a planning area for a group of famous knights, but given the shadiness of the entire situation, it was more likely a den of thieves, and the ususal location of the Earth district's clandestine poker night. -Seven men and two women were gesturing angrily, speaking loudly and waving knives around in the general direction of the most nondescript man in existence. Brown haired, brown eyed, and very bruised, their bound captive was slender and rather elfin. He was staring into the shadows, looking blandly resigned. There was a small, open case in front of him, holding something that glinted in the light.

The small faerie bringing up the rear was so caught up in his own thoughts he bumped squarely into the back of Luke's legs. After a moment of rigourous hat adjusting, he peered around the gunslinger to survey the meeting. "So what's the game plan, team?" thought Luke and Talfen. ...After a pause the two of them did a double take, realising the voice they had thought that sentence in. It was something you never quite got used to, annoyingly more subtle than simply speaking into the mind. Behind them, Achintya smiled reassuringly, threatening to blow their cover with his radiant set of canines.

-Thinking back, Talfen offered, "I could blast about the papers as an initial distraction with wind, then we could set about knocking them out. Although, thinking of it, could you lull them to sleep with some grand lullaby in the mind? I'm sure one such as yourself would be most gentle with them, giving them an easy sleep with dreams of... surely of sparkly, happy things. I'm all-" Talfen paused here, contemplating for a moment, which was just as likely picked up to the others, on how to proceed, "-thoughts, to any other options, if that wouldn't be viable." The sarcasm yet validity of the plan oozed from Talfen, himself finding a bit of fun second-hand from what Achintya may have... offered, the people for dreams. "Ah, opinions or plans aside that?"

"...Fair enough" floated the thought, "If this goes wrong and you pass out then we know I've not finished learning yet, so I'd like to thank you both for this opportunity." Without a flash of light, a glow, a slight breeze or even a few magical words a thick, pluming blue mist invisible to all but Achintya and the nondescript being sat aware or unaware of his surroundings began to billow from the ground around the well dressed faerie. It seeped deeply over the table of arguing gangsters, stretching out dark tendrils of purplish misty fog which curled and gripped tight to any living thing in the room, the silent memory of hoof beats being all that disturbed the calm, deathly, abyssal fog, steered as best as possible through the tiny movements of a tiny faerie's tiny fingers.

-At the table, all but two of the men and one of the women felt their eyelids become leaden and fall, quite beyond their control. Those few who did not sucumb to slumber clutched at something underneath their collars; the action was similar to that of the guard at the bridge. The three drew weapons, then began calling 'Attack! Attack! Mental attack!' It was only a matter of time before their alarm drew in more guards. -The woman began chanting softly, fingertips to her eyelids. 'Golden aura, show their lives, golden aura, show their lives.'

Achintya sighed theatrically. "Well," he whispered, "looks like we're pretty much screwed. If you don't mind I'm gonna take this chance and run while I still can, I don't think I can handle so many armed guards with a few of my defensive spells. Good luck though, still rooting for you guys! Give it your all!" With that the shiny set of pointed teeth smiling at the pair faded into darkness. Blankets of shadow warped and twisted over an even deeper blackness a few feet back from Luke and Talfen and with a slight fluttering noise Achintya was sat atop a small tower of crates hidden in darkness.
Taking a moment to grimace darkly at the invisible Icelus ("No power comes without its prices, Dream Eater."[/i]) Achintya clenched his gloved hands into fists, staring with a pair of small, slightly luminescent eyes directly and intently at the chanting woman, the faerie began to murmur to himself. "Silver aura, kick her ass, silver aura, kick her ass." Between the faerie and the woman at the table, the air sparked and flashed near unnoticeably with the popping and clashing of magic and will. Achintya's mouth curled into a smirk of genuine enjoyment, his fists tightening with concentration.

-Luke watched as the thick cloud engulfed the criminals entirely...only to leave several of them still ready to kick their ass. Not a particularly sleepy bunch, he guessed with a sigh. Watching the small fearie disappear from the fight, Luke couldn't help laughing a bit to himself. "If I could teleport, I'd probably get the fuck out too..." He began and suddenly darted forward, fast, and jumped to a nearby crate, and proceeded to kick it with all his might towards them, a burst of his own aura causing it to rocket forward to the growing numbers. "Blue aura don't fail me now, blue aura don't fail me now!" He muttered, turning to the large pile of boxes and treating them like soccer balls, throwing some up in the air and proceeding the kick them towards the criminals at increasing speeds.
