-The woman gave a gasp. "My magic is supressed. I suspect without the amulet, I'd be dead." One of the men paused from shaking his sleeping companions to throw a knife into the darkness. By chance, it was close to the group, but the chance wasn't enough to let it find a mark. "They're good, whoever they are. Good mage," the man murmured grimly.

Achintya looked directly next to him at the wobbling dagger stuck in the side of the crate with... an expression. He reached out to throw it back, but stopped should it break his binding.

-Talfen visibly shrugged, "Bollocks," and rushed over somewhat nearer the shadows, both rapiers out and ready to pounce upon any of the guards that might rush past in the shadows. He didn't want to use Imovan for this; without a desire to hack through anything, or rather, hack anything off, nor set off a bonfire of bodies, that blade would not be quite so suited to the task at hand, compared to lighter weapons.

The dagger-throwing man was hit by a box, and knocked unconsious. The other man, who had remained still and quiet all this time removed his hood, to reveal a leering serpent mask beneath. He let out a hissing laugh and lunged into the shadows. Isaac barely had time to cry out in rage and surprise before he, Tianlong and the masked man disappeared entirely. -The woman glanced in shock from her unconsious teammate to where the disappeared one had been. She blinked a little stupidly. "Uh..." The silence grew thicker. Any other guards in the warehouse clearly had not heard the cries of alarm, or had mistaken them for anger. Her eyes flitted from shadow to shadow. She looked at the bound mundane faerie, who looked even more plainly confused than herself. Muttering for a moment, she found her magic still supressed by...whatever one of the attackers had done. She raised her weapon, then lowered it. "Er...parley?"

-Talfen spoke from his position mired in the shadows. "I am Talfen, leader of this merry band, we seek the man over their to join our party. You have proved yourself humble, now kick aside your weapon. Please don't make me sad." He said it in a commanding tone, though not as loud as he may have been, to keep from arousing any other people lurking about in the consuming darkness about them.

-"You want this man?" The brown haired man squealed, "Oh gods, you're from my cousin! Oh gods, oh gods, oh shitting fucking gods." The woman blinked, then threw her weapons to the ground. "You can have him, if you like. Anything else you fancy? Some tea?"

-He retained his position for a moment more, sighing slightly, "You make me sad. At least you will let us pass, though. Well, so be it. I command you, as leader of this group, to leave the man to us, hand over that amulet, and give anything of relative value. Generally shiny, it would be." He maintained his lower tone, however in some odd sense maintaining all the authority and power of the words behind them, despite the lack of volume. "However, I may add upon that. Why are you to be left alive? And all your, ah, friends here. And to you, poor fellow, what brings you to curse so, over this? And answer quite honestly, too, for the both of you. Miss, if I were you, I wouldn't want the, ah, force keeping you pinned to inform us of any possible deceit, which may and should be suspected from a group such as yourselves under even the best of circumstances." Talfen grinned slightly, hoping to bluff through this. Or for all he knew, Achintya really could tell if she were to lie. And likely set about some kind of massively destructive explosion centered in her cranial region, if she were, thinking on it.

-Her eyes flicked from Talfen's general direction, dancing with laughter, then to the bound man. "Looks like Bheda wants you after all, Chaero." The man heaved a deep sigh, refusing to answer Talfen's question. The woman shook her head. "Well, as to what you asked me...you can take him" here, she untied the man, Chaero, from the chair, but left his arms bound, pushing him towards Talfen. "I can't give you the amulet, I'm afraid. I suspect that wasn't part of the bargain." She mock-glared at Talfen. "Stop being greedy. If you want one, become a guard." She picked up the golden item from its case. It was a golden firebird tiara which looked very much like a certain drawing they had been shown. "As for this, its yours. I expect Bheda asked you to pick it up if we had it? Luckily, we found it sooner than expected. Best get it to her noble Second Librarian-ness quickly, though. Word is the Amarone bitch is after it too." She placed the tiara back in the case, placed a full bag of jingling items on top of it, then placed both down the front of Chaero's brown shirt, giving him a firmer shove. "Best knock me out for posterity. Can't blow my cover. Tell Bheda 'the armoire dances at midnight.'" She grinned again. "Reckon she'll like that bit of news?"

-"Oh, but you asked us if there was anything else we fancied, and I liked that! And greed is the only, only thing that I live for, you deny me all pleasures. Oh, fine. Would you throw us the tea party, then, after all? Oh, never-mind, never-mind. As for her liking the news, I'm not sure, I'll have to ask our resident mind-rea-" It was around then that Zephyre summoned about the air in a vacuumed rush, and quickly brought quite the heavy crate tumbling into the woman's head, which ushered, very contrary to her sex, a deep grunt, followed by a thud. Luckily, it left no serious damage aside knocking her out. "Oh, Zephyre, I was having fun with the nice lady. Are you perhaps jealous of the attention?"
"Oh, quite so, deare-" Here she caught herself, and instantly yet breakingly transitioned from the one word to the next,"-No. I had, however, grown tired of the charade you were playing. I do wonder, however, why she would not hand us the amulet freely, when she did so with the other... goods," Zephyre finished lamely, before picking back up, "Perhaps we should take it, and investigate it? It may hold some intriguing facts to learn of." With only a slight grin from Talfen, she gave the notion of a sigh, and continued. "Regardless to that, I do begin to think you do rub off on me, with your sarcastic airs."
-"Oh, fine fine. And no, she seemed to not want to part with it for reason, amid her joking of it, and with her knowledge of the matter, I think it would be quite the nice thing to leave it be, for now. We will take whatever truly does pertain to us, though." Talfen emerged from the darkness, ushering the man over, hoping that they'd truly not stolen anything of true excess. To the rest he said, gently, "What next, then? Prudently march back in a triumphant, albeit possibly flustered, march?"

"Let's pile their bodies up in a weird way to freak out whoever finds them" said a voice from the back of the room. "More importantly," said Achintya, emerging into the light to smile warmly at Talfen, "you need to decide what to do with that tiara. The reward is... enticing, but Kee Amarone's nobility toward the poor of her district is as trustworthy as any thief's honour. However, Bheda's backstab would come from the front, before a judge and the fist of legality. Her reputation is something that you could perhaps rely on her wanting to keep, but we can't simply make a scene. And I wouldn't try keeping the tiara to give to Kee later, Bheda will know if we have it. All in all then, my friends, you're left with a choice between two equal evils."
Achintya walked over to the unconscious woman and prodded her face with a finger. "Gold aura... hahah...
"...Anyway," the faerie continued, "all I would add is that you can slit the throat of some bargaining chips." The hat was adjusted.

-"Oh, putting leadership to me? Just because I claimed it for myself does not make me king of you lot, I've no succession to the throne." He sighed, and turned to the bound man. With equal warmth as to what Achintya gave Talfen for a smile, Talfen turned to the woman's cousin again. "Dearest friend," he trailed on, "do tell us, what does this piece of jewelry tell you? Is it truly two equal evils, or is one the possible lesser? Do tell, please." He quickly turned back to Achintya, "Oh, as for a thief's honor, well... does this make us thieves? We're honorable. I suspect... probably." The grin he wore had gone from mocking and fake, to one of slyness.

-Chaero mumbled under his breath. Feeling their eyes still on him, he looked up. "Bheda wanted me to fetch it before the Amarone bitch's people got her hands on it. I was watching out for them, and got caught by other people. Dunno why its important." He twitched his bound wings and sighed again. "Never was much good with magic," he said, dolefully.

Achintya sat down on the unconscious woman's stomach, eliciting a small 'oomph' noise from her and stretched his hands out in front oh him, yawning, before looking lazily at Chaero with a small smile. "Fetch it from where?" the faerie asked its kinsman.

-Chaero flinched at Achintya's gaze. "A contact." He paused, before shivering. "An Indral from their lakes. She took it from the treasury or something. I dunno. I just picked it up from her. I'm good for that stuff, 'cause people don't usually notice me."

Luke approached the scene a bit closer now emerging from the shadows with a raised eyebrow, having heard most of what was going on. "I wonder..." He began. "Would you do something clearly quite dangerous just for a favor? What were you offered to retrieve this...trinket." Luke glanced to the object, now with a bit of cautious with the knowledge it was from the Indral.
