-"The test was a test of suitability, handsome. Sadly, you failed. Your faerie friend, on the other hand, passed. Sort of." The woman sighed, and ran her fingers through her hair. "Truth be told, I'm getting desperate, and you boys look like you can handle yourselves." At his last question, she hissed at him, flapping her hands. "Not here, fool. We might have the Peace, but its wise not to count the cards out loud in front of the dealer. Somewhere quieter! Now, are you in? You stand to make a good profit, in coin and trust. My reach stretches far."

-Talfen nodded, and said, "To test generosity and base the suitability of us for whatever, ah, errand it may be, was it? I suppose fair is fair, though Luke here is a conundrum of a powerful warrior wrapped in the blanket of a pacifist, of sorts at least." He turned to the others, "I suppose we would have not so many options otherwise, even if we didn't want to do this, so are we all good with ferrying off to discuss this further? Besides our suddenly-made-enchanter here in Achintya, that is if you're to be that loud from now on?" He turned to him, grinning, and having spoken in hushed tones. He looked quizzically, yet expectantly, to them so they could move on.

-Luke looked blankly for a moment and frowned, crossing his arms as his gaze turned more serious to the woman. "A test that was failed for being of honest mind and heart? I am not certain I wish to hear this...deal of yours." Luke managed, his expression shifting only slightly at Talfen's response, shaking his head. "Regardless, we'll hear your piece, I suppose, if nothing but that generosity that is so ever present within myself." Unsure why he was being so harsh, the man felt himself have little patience, especially in matters like this.

'I swear, Luke's just as likely to get us all killed as he is to save us...' Isaac thought, sighing a bit.
'His generosity could be used against him, yes, but I do not think he would put you all in harm's way on purpose... at least I would hope not.'
'...do you always disagree with everything I say?' Isaac asked in his head to Tianlong.
'I do not,' Tianlong responded.
'...I think you just proved my point,' Isaac thought once again, shaking it off before nodding to the lady, "I've learned it's never a good idea to turn down a deal until you get more details than 'I've got a deal,' I'll hear what you have to say if they will."

-Halt stared at Achintya. He had seen some bad acts in his day, but this little fairie had nearly taken the cake. Halt noticed the woman had been glancing at his weapon and he quickly pulled his cloak over them, concealing them from view. Halt nodded along, grasping the test and what it had encompassed, but when she mentioned something about a 'favor', Halt's ears perked up. "So, if we do you this 'favor'," Halt piped up. "Will there be some kind of reward?" He tried to be as nonchalant about it as possible, but you could practically hear the gold coins tinkling off his tongue.

The woman grinned. "Now, you two are men I can get along with. Wise philosophy, and a taste for that beautiful, soft, glowing metal."Her voice had become silky and loving. "Yes, there will be a reward. A fairly substantial one, at that. It's a risky, if not directly dangerous mission." The woman reached into her cloak, and pulled out a large, flat oval gem that glittered like ice. "I'm not exactly poor," she said with a wink. "So, do I have you interested, my friend?"

-Halt grinned as he gazed at the gem. "You had me at 'now'," Halt chuckled, already trying to remember the perfect place to store the reward. "Now, what do we have to do?"

-She grinned. "Follow me." The woman led them back down the road, to the Seedy Eagle Tavern. As she walked some of the larger beggars, smothered in heavy cloaks, detatched themselves from the sides of the street and followed close behind, silent and foreboding. -The tavern itself was exactly the sort of tavern you'd expect when it had 'Seedy' in its name. From top to foundations, it was exactly that. Crowded, noisy, smokey and not exactly fragrant. The woman weaved her way through the crowd with quiet authority, and the masses shifted aside as she passed. At a table in the far corner of the inn, she bid them seat themselves. Her large shadows arrayed themselves nearby, eyes flashing in their hoods.
-"I am Kee Amarone. Suffice it to say that I am a person of importance within this part of the city. Indeed, my kin are the only reason the Earth district stands here as a solemn lesson of morality for the rich and the wise. Beyond that, you need to know nothing about me, though any interest is appreciated. I am a vastly intriguing person." She leant back in her chair, and the barkeep hurried over, placing a large tray of drinks on the table. Kee Amarone pulled a pipe from inside a pocket and lit it. An acrid, invasive smell washed over them as she puffed on it, and the smoke that trickled from the bowl was green. "The task which I would like you to perform from me will not take you too far out of your way. In fact, I can make your task for that little flutterer much easier. I have many little birds, and those that told me you seek Bheda's cousin have also told me that said cousin is in the Eldritch Warehouse. You wouldn't find that place unless you can read the signs, which I doubt you can, as out-of-town as you clearly are. The flutterer, in her arrogance, wouldn't have taken that into account. I can get you into the Warehouse, and perhaps warn you about what lies within. Whilst you're there," here she reached into a pocket and drew out a piece of grubby parchment, which she then spread onto the table, "you can bring this item back to me, as quietly and quickly as possible." -Drawn on the parchment was a tiara in the shape of a phoenix with wings spread. Even from the drawing, they could tell it was a beautiful object. -"It's Indral made, carved from ruby and inlaid with gold. It's more valuable than its components, though. Very powerful enchantments, it has. It is vital that I have this object." She stretched, and sighed. "You're my last hope for getting it. Anyway, when you have it and the faerie's cousin come back here and deal with her, then hand the tiara over to me and you shall be greatly rewarded." Kee smiled, and her eyes glinted fanatically. "Are you in?"

-"First, if you wouldn't oh so mind, may we ask what the enchantments do? What you need it for, perhaps?" Zephyre injected her own piece on top of Talfen's, "Yes, it's an amazing artifact, we'd love to know more of it." She trailed off, wearing a large inquiring grin over it. "Ah, yes, our curiousity has gotten the better of us you see. As far as the task goes itself, I think it's something the lot of us should be able to pull off." His face was quite a parallel to that of Zephyre, stoic and unemotional to his supposed interest.

-Keeping silent for the time being, Luke uncrossed his arms, preparing to speak to the woman. "Suggesting we snatch up an item for you while we are in the area is it? My, quite noble indeed." He partially joked, his tone hinted with a dash of sarcasm, before placing a hand on the table to lean forward to examine her face more carefully, the greenish smoke wisping past his face and nose, irritating it if only just slightly. "As Talfen asked, yes...surely you truly desire this item, having resorted to other means before ourselves, yes?" Luke mentioned almost casually, at the remark that they were her 'last' hope, implying she had been busy attempting to gather the item other ways. "Consider it...friendly curiosity, yeah?" He said, his tone oddly more soothing then it was before, yet still held a tone of mistrust, or perhaps caution.

Achintya nodded along agreeably to his companions, his red pom-pom bobbing up and down, before adding to Kee Amarone with a sunny voice: "yes, Talfen's right, I'm curious to know exactly what kind of punch this tiara packs, I mean, what would such a grand player in the greater scheme of things want with some magic piece of jewellery?"

-"Grand player? You flatter me. In this city, perhaps I might be considered important. I don't much care about the greater scheme of things, and hopefully that greater scheme doesn't care about me." She puffed on the pipe, considering them intently. "You've clearly never had such a venture before. It's not done, to ask what I want the item for." She glanced at Talfen, then gazed at Luke, and her expression twitched. "Suffice it to say that with that item, I could turn the fortunes of this district around. I could turn the mud to stone, the shacks to houses, drag the poor out of their depression. I have to look out for the interests of the Earth district, by whatever means. No one else will."
-She raised her hand airily, and the group noticed that the large men who seemed to be Kee's guards had edged closer to the table at their questioning of her. As she gestured, they backed away into their original positions. -"Now, I ask again. Are you in?"

-Giving the woman one final look, as well as one to glance at the guards she had at her back, Luke sighed simply, glancing to the others, namely Talfen. "I suppose it seems her intensions are pure enough...however vague and suspicious she insists on being." He kept the odd frown on his face and uncrossed his arms. "Besides, it is on our way..." Luke began before turning an eye back to her with a grin. "And I suppose, if she did turn into some sort of tyranical monster, we could always come back..." As he said so, he felt a strange throbbing from deeper in his mind, and was forced to grab hold of his face.

-"Very well, then." Kee Amarone smiled grimly. "My friends here will guide you to the warehouse. It's a devilishly tricky place, so be careful, alright? And don't kill anyone, if you can avoid it. I have no idea where it'll be, but it's Indral made as I said, and magic buzzes around it like so many midges. Or so I'm told. Anyways, that should help with the process of finding. Take the drawing, too. Good luck, swift speed. Shadow be your cloak." -The large guards blinked with faint surprise at those last words, but then moved to surround the group, herding them out of the filthy bar. Kee resumed her pipe, waving. As they left the bar, a gruff voice muttered "Ten silver says they get strung up." Kee laughed. "I'll take that bet."
-The guards remained as silent as they were burly, until they reached the dimmest, most inconspicuous end-of-an-ally there has ever been. One of Kee's men bent down, hefting a large slab into his hands, and dumping it to one side. "Can't wait, have to get back. We'll be at the Eagle, if you somehow manage this." After that vebiose bit of support, the guards left, and one by one the group slid down a barely-there ladder into the dark hole beneath.
-The Eldritch warehouse was a cavernous room that might have once been a sewer. Crates and boxes of all kinds were heaped in a manner so seemingly haphazard that it must have been exceptionally well organised. It was dimly lit by a scattering of naphtha lamps hanging from the high ceiling. Quiet footsteps could be heard around a corner made by boxes, and dimly the group could hear angry voices across the other end of the warehouse, though they couldn't distinguish the words. The footsteps moved closer, inching towards the silent, shadowed company.

-Luke couldn't help feel uncomfortable around the large guards and as they prepared to go on their way, he simply attempted to shake it from his mind, turning back to see the warehouse before them. At the sound of footsteps however, he flinched, every muscle in his body jerked him into deeper shadows nearby, behind several rather large crates. As he moved, he insisted the others follow as well, in a not so vocal manner of waving his arms. He wasn't sure who was out here, but he did intend to remain out of the way as he could.
