"If I may, I would suggest we send Barnabas under the guise of being wounded. I believe these orcs would be wary of an offering of a truce after being routed so thoroughly, but a wounded soldier would more effectively lower their guard, at least this is my belief on the matter." Kaane looked to Nathan and Alatar. Alatar may have just been the silent type, but Kaane had seen Nathan long enough to know being this quiet was not in his nature, causing him to wonder what had silenced him so.

-Nathan looked back at Kaane and gave a wave, "Kaane's idea is superb! I agree fully!" Nathan said with a nod as he went back to trying remember when Chives' birthday was.

-Alatar had no idea why they were asking him to formulate a plan with a group of people he had just met yesterday. He had no idea of their abilities, or their potential. He didn't even know most of their names. "Well, I'm not the best at delicate magic, so sneaking isn't really my thing. If you wanted the entire encampment to go up in flames, or have it implode on itself, I could do that. As for how the others should act, I'm not sure. I know nothing of your abilities, so I should leave the planning to you, since you've at least been traveling together longer than I have." Alatar said, crossing his arms and scrunching up his eyebrows in thought.

Captain Marcel shook his head, sighing deeply. "Well, then, since there do not seem to be any objections... Caterina, send your falcon high into the air so that we may get a good perspective on the inside of the fort. Barnabas, can you pretend to be wounded and go toward the front gate to distract the two guards outside? Eliana, Kaane, and Caterina follow me. There was a hill slightly to the west that is much closer to the gates. We should get as close as possible in order to ensure the surprise. Once we are sure of the interior of the fort and the guards outside have been disposed of, we can head up to the walls themselves."
Marcel then mounted his horse, letting the pink ribbons flail as the horse shook his tail. He spun around on his horse, spotting Nathan and Alatar again. "Oh, Nathan and Alatar, you guys are still here, aren't you? I forget that sometimes. You two can come if you want. I'm sure bloodlust will kick you two into gear. Seems the only way to get you two moving sometimes."
Marcel then rode his horse over to the clearing, the pink and red ribbons blowing in the wind. "I should grow a beard," he thought to himself as he stroked his chin some more. Marcel then looked over to Eliana. "So, tell me, what is it like being a Paladin?" Marcel then looked over at Kaane. "And you, master Elf, tell me of your forest village." "And Caterina, what is Queen Valenthia like? I've only heard good things."

-Eliana nodded happily as she rode off at Marcel's side along with Caterina and Kaane. "Oooh this is so exciting is it not?I am glad to finally be moving again!" She almost giggled a bit. "It feels like we have been traveling forever." She smiled a bit, turning to Marcel. "It is good to see they are still concious after all... I worry sometimes though." She whispered, motioning to Nate and Alatar. "Maybe a bit of fighting will kick them in the rear indeed~" She chuckled softly. Eliana then turned to the man's question. "Oh my... a paladin? Well I like to compare it to a Church days worth of service packed into everyday for years on end...with lots of weapons and magical explosions of course~" She laughed out loud a bit. "Though I do rather like the magical bits..." She murmured mostly to herself that time, making chatter as they moved on their way.

Nathan just went along with the flow, 'I know I know this! Is it... no no, that's MY birthday... DAMN IT ALL!!' He was deep in thought trying to remember the birthday of his friend for so many years.

-"Ah, the city I come from? It is a place where many elves live, and it has been in existence for a long time. My family is an old one, from the years of founding it, and has always played a key role with upper society, though never getting the benefits you would expect. We are looked down upon by the other nobles, for my house has always held those who were trained to become warriors, our bloodlines seemingly built for it, as almost all children from our lineage have come to be well with talent in some form that can be used to fight. We hold no real power with the nobles, though, if anything, the household I hail from would be one filled with the equivalent of prestigious knights, just not as prestigious where I was from. As we are technically nobles, and most of those of high class mistreat the commoners, we receive distaste from them as well. I... grew wary of this lifestyle. One day I decided to make my living off of wandering about, essentially a mercenary." Kaane had slowed in his speech near the end, seeming somewhat downcast. He came to hold a smirk soon though, as he continued on with his tale, "The elves of my city are living in that, a city in a forest. Other elves in the area around us feel we are heathens of a sort, attacking or hiring mercenaries or whoever else they may, hoping to bring us down for how we 'abuse' nature with our city, living more as humans would, rather than being nomadic such as the tribes around us. However, with that, our defenses have been too strong for them, however there is much conflict, and leaving the city is dangerous, which is where my household, and some others, come into play, defending those working in the outskirts, or travelling, from any bandits or, rivals I suppose, that may wait to attack. It is in a forest after all, so it is impossible to fully predict movement and know where they may be hiding about. Well, I seem to have spoken for far longer than I should have, now, what would your story be of, mi- Caterina?" Kaane had almost called Caterina by miss, an old habit of formality coming back to him, however he caught himself and cut it off, growing more comfortable with the looseness of his traveling companions.

-Caterina launched the falcon into the air. She kept her eyes on his flight path, but his pale feathers caused him to blurr amidst the clouds and she was not entirely sure exactly where he was. -Torrado trotted alongside the captain's horse. -"Queen Isabella de Valenthia is...well, she's my mother so I can't be entirely unbiased, can I?" Caterina laughed. "She's a wonderful woman. Fierce and unyielding when she needs to be, and ruthlessly cunning enough to outwit even the most sly of nobles and politicals. Such is the nature of ruling Castillunia. Everyone is overflowing with ambition, and assassination is near enough an art. My mother is a skilled enough player at the game to have the respect of the majority of these social monsters. Besides that...she is loving and kind, and unfailing generous to those at need. Thus, her people love her as much as they revere the Queens of old. She took in a ragged little orphan girl when most would ignore and some would trample over. That should tell you much of Her Grace's nature." Caterina smiled, a fond longing smile. "There is a reason you have heard only good things, noble Marcel." -She nudged Torrado to lengthen his stride a little. -"It occurs to me that I've been rather melancholy of late...for that, I apologise. The battle took a fair bit out of me, and it's strange to be...serving another, rather than serving my family. Well, I'm going to endeavor to be more myself, more cheerful. When apropriate, of course." She flicked her gaze towards Marcel. "Though, I will try and refrain from mocking...for now, at least." -She glanced at Eliana, and grinned. "I couldn't cope with the Church service, to be frank, but the explosions sound fun." She whispered to Torrado softly, "and I rather like the magical bits too." He snorted his agreement. 'So long as there are no scaled-winged-firespitters.'

Up high in the sky over the fort the falcon flew. Looking down, it found a small fort, populated by a multitude of orcs, easily over a hundred. In the back of the fort, there were minecart tracks leading from two tunnels. Two orcs were pushing a cart out. Inside, there were supplies. A group of orcs came and took the supplies out of the cart and replaced it with raw ore that came out of a small storage building. The cart was then pushed down the same tunnel by the same two orcs.
Marcel turned to his comrades. "An entire lifetime of servitude to a religion? That must be taxing, Eliana. Kaane, I have never heard of an elven city that has been carved out of the forest. Tell me, do the other elves recognize that you are from that city immediately or is your tribe similar enough for you to blend in? And Caterina, I never pictured Queen Valenthia as such a shrewd ruler, but I guess with a nobility constantly scheming, she must be doing something right if she continues to reign. And what about you, Nathan? You seem to have something on your mind. What is it that has you so confounded? And what of you, Alatar?" Marcel looked around. "Alatar?" He saw Alatar standing by himself behind their previous cover. Marcel thought of asking him about his hometown and what brought him up so far North, but thought it best to not shout while the orcs were so near.

-Eliana giggled where she sat as she followed swiftly beside the two, glancing back at Caterina with a happy air about her, as if unconcerned with the coming duties. "Oh my they were! You should have seen the head Pastor's face when I first learned about Holy Crush!" He continued on for a moment, gleefully telling the tale of the encounter to the two, which inevitably ended with a shattered wall of a church and a very red faced old man. In her description, Eliana detailed, at least relatively, the process of learning the holy magic, though her words rather melted together for most, Holy magic was indeed complex.
Along with this Eliana expressed a bit of interest in the queen, not having the chance to speak with her herself even through her travels drew a bit of interest in Caterina. "Ah now that is truly fine royalty if I ever saw it, strong and kind, it is not such a hard concept you would think" She trailed off with a sigh, clinching her pendent for a moment before continuing glancing at Kaane for one moment. "A full blooded Elf... it feels like forever since I've seen one. "She smiled softly "Well, since before meeting you all of course." She laughed a bit, turning to Marcel "A sudden interest in us m'lord?" She offered teasingly "I didn't know you cared~" She giggled a bit nodding "Indeed, though if I may use the Captain's words himself I am the "Most free spirited Paladin you will ever lay eyes on." She finished with another laugh, keeping her voice low, considering they were getting close now.

-"It would depend, I suppose, but as I said, we would be different in most regards... our clothing would be more of a human's style rather than what the elves of the surrounding area wear." Kaane tapped his own heavy plate armor, "See, they would never wear armor such as this. A lucky elf may be left unnoticed, however, anyone such as I would be spotted immediately."

-Suddenly, mid sentence, Caterina was alighted upon by the falcon. Using her new found understanding, she listened to what the bird had seen, and conveyed it, troubled, to the rest of the group.

Barnabas meanwhile lay on a battlefield near the fort "This better god damn work, I am not dying for no reason!" Barnabas said to himself in a tone of annoynance.
Then the Orcs came out of the fort speaking in their language. It seems what he hoped for was happening. They were hunting for dead for food
"Well its showtime" Barnabas said as they drew near
