Nathan chuckled, "My brother taught me everything. The tribe I grew was raised was very nice, but I was a person of interest and, well..." Nathan paused for a moment, "When you're the son of the strongest man in your tribe people think that killing you in combat would up their standing. I still don't know what would have happened had someone managed to kill me. Thankfully I had my brother, else I might not be standing here," Nathan said with a smile, and strangely a bit of sadness in his voice.

-"They would attempt to murder you for such reasons? I... do understand this, I suppose... well, you seem strong enough to fend for yourself, now. Come, though... let us be off to the druids, far too little time to spare now." Kaane did not really feel the urgency, knowing they could have talked on the walk, but hurried off after Marcel, not wanting to be around such a subject for long.

-Alatar was slightly miffed. Interrupting a first meeting was a bit of an insult in the elven tribes, but Alatar managed to just shove the annoyance aside. 'There will be a time for honor later.' He thought to himself. As he looked around the group, he could tell they had not been together long. They did not seem to move as one, and many of their thoughts were scattered and focused on their own goals, rather than the goals of the group as a whole. He could tell that they had at least some drive to to push forward, and he was thankful for that. Alatar reached within his robes and extracted a long oak pipe. Stuffing some tobacco leaves within the head, he lit it with a slight mutter and inhaled deeply. Since he was the newest to arrive, he let all the events unfold in front of him, uninhibited by his own actions.

-Caterina excused herself from the conversations of the group, then clicked her tongue as she walked towards the druids. Torrado trotted over, ears pricked, and stood behind her. She curtseyed to the druids, and added her plea to Eliana's. -"Greetings. honoured weavers of magic. As my friend said, we are in need of somewhere to rest for the night, and if you know of such a place, and would be kind enough to share it with us, we would be very grateful!" She paused for a moment, then a sparkle came into her eyes, "And, if it is not to improper of me to ask...would any of you talk to me about the kind magic you work? A mage from my homeland told me that druids work within the spiraling dance of nature, with plants and animals. That sounds like a wonderful art to dedicate your life to!" She sighed happily, thinking of how magic would extent her natural (or, as some believed, unconciously magical) gift with animals. The idea was incredibly appealing...she wished, not for the first time, that she had such magic.

The druids stopped as they were pleaded with by Eliana and Caterina. Captain Marcel waited behind, allowing the others to take charge.
The druids turned around, refusing to lift their blue cloaks from over their faces. A few long beards could be seen coming out of the bottom of the hood. Their hands were hidden within their cloaks, both sides together in front of their bodies. The man in the center of the line stepped forward. He breathed in deeply, his chest expanding an inch outward. He exhaled in an audible sigh as his chest collapsed back to its original position.
"Greetings, travelers," he said in a deep, booming voice. "You have arrived just after one of our more exhaustive rituals. You are here in search of shelter? You are in luck, we shall break our fast very shortly. You are welcome to join us and spend the night. We druids are not ones to turn a blind eye to strangers." He then turned to Caterina. "As for our magic, we tend to be secretive of it. What I can tell you is that the tales you have heard are true, in a way. I would be more cordial, but I am afraid the day has exhausted me. Please, join us for supper, and perhaps you may find a more...youthful member of our order that would be able to explain things with more detail than I am willing to at this moment. Come, let us show you to the dining hall."
The chief druid, in sync with the druids around him, turned around and headed off for a large stone building in the distance. Captain Marcel walked up to the two women who had seemed to convince the druids to let them in, though he did not hear how. "Nice work, ladies," he said. "Your charm seems to have done us a great service. I thank you. Now, shall we?"

-Turning to Marcel as the Druids turned and walked towards said dining hall, she held a smirk on her face as she eyed the man. "Oh it is no trouble sir, my charm is a very handy skill you know." She flashed Marcel a bright smile before turning to Caterina with a spark in her eye almost. *Cat sure knows how to charm hm... I suppose is proper then* Eliana smiled softly at her own thoughts *Things will become interesting in the future no doubt* As Marcel made his way to the building, Eliana shortly followed in kind to the hall. As the walked, Eliana made her way to Marcel's side and whispered in a soft sweet tone "And here I thought you had a family sir, do watch your wandering eye" She chuckled at her teasing before hurrying ahead of him towards the building.

-"It is not charm, Capitán, but mere courtesy. No skill of mine, you understand." -She pondered the words of the druid, excited at the prospect of learning more about this magic. If only it were something she could learn pratically rather than simply in theory. -Turning her mind over old, vain desires, Caterina walked towards the dining hall, stroking her fingers over the dragon scale in its bag. She found, rather suddenly, that she too was exhausted. The scant hours of rest after the battle had not been enough. She wondered if centuries of sleep could ever be enough.

-Kaane noticed that the girls had already gotten the druids' permission to come and join them, which he was grateful for. Just as he'd reached them, they were off again, glad still that the conversation had been left with Nathan, hoping to avoid a topic such as that. He had caught most of the converstation from afar, however. He moved on, but also struck up words with Caterina, "You seem like a commoner, rather than those of royal upbringing." He paused, catching himself, and said again, "Rather, you don't seem to belittle those that would be considered, by social ranks, lower than yourself. A change from the royalty I've ever known, at least." Kaane didn't think he could offend her by what he said, though that didn't even cross his mind. In fact, he even appreciated her some for her kind traits to all, not just what would be the elite. As he thought this, he momentarily brought a bitter look to his face, eyes, while locked in memories, before quickly returning to quite a bland look, seemingly devoid of emotion, otherwise as he usually looked, a serious bore.

-His words dragged her from her hopeful brooding. -"Well, truth be told, I'm a commoner by birth and I always felt a kinship with the poorer, the so called 'lower classes'. Especially because I see how badly some nobles treat their own people, and because I have some influence to make life better for the worse-off. It is only luck, after all, that kept me from the gutter. Besides, the royal house of Castillunia is rather different. We reward based on merit, rather than the breeding of the woman whose thighs a person slid out between, and my mother always taught me to treat all people well. As an ambassador for my nation, that is also a good trait to have."

-"That seems to be a very fair place to live, and your intentions noble indeed... in the good sense of the word." Kaane had the weak start of a smile to his own words there, and added, "Yes, well, you do seem quite kind hearted and fair yourself, a good traveling companion to be, I'm sure." Kaane gave a warm hearted smile to Caterina now, not lasting long, but present and sincere.

Captain Marcel followed the druids into their stone building. The two wooden doors opened inward, each reaching high into the sky, requiring two men to pull each open. Inside Marcel found a large hall with only a series of wooden tables a few feet from the walls. In the middle were some of the younger druids. In their hands, they held pewter plates, each containing some meat, a lump of cabbage, and a small loaf of bread. As Marcel entered, one of the younger druids handed him a plate. Marcel nodded in thanks as he sat down at one of the tables.
"Thank you for the meal and the shelter," Marcel said to the druid sitting on his left. "The men of Bana do not easily forget such a kindness. This will be repaid in kind as soon as my report to the King is completed." The druid next to him remained silent, eating his meal without looking up at Marcel. Marcel continued. "Well, it appears to me that the druids here have lived far too long outside the protection of the Tribe of Bana. You are within the orc territory. How you have survived this long is beyond my feeble comprehension. Tell me, how have you survived this long?" The druid looked up at Marcel and slowly made an X over his lips. "Oh, vow of silence?" Marcel said. The druid nodded. Marcel sighed. "Oh," he said, then ate the rest of his meal in silence.
One druid remained outside the large doors while Marcel went inside. "We have stables around the side for your horses." He then noticed Marcel's horse and sighed. "I shall take them to the stables if you so wish, as the man of Bana seems to have assumed. Should you find my services sufficient, you shall find your supper awaiting you inside the hall." The druid grabbed the loose reins of Marcel's horse, leading it to the side. Around the side of the large stone building, there was a large stable with plenty of room for the horses the adventurers had brought and several more. "I hope that this proves sufficient," he said.

-Eliana nodded to the Druid asking for their horses "Indeed, he could use a bit of rest." She leapt from her mount and offered the gruff girl to the man, who she assumed would take him safely there, stepping inside the hall. Eliana took a plate, to be polite, and said, more talking then eating she intended. " Thank you for your kindness dear druids but I must agree with my friend...how did you survive all this time deep in such dangerous lands?" As the words left her lips, she turned her green eyes to one of the younger druids, hoping to find one that could speak, unlike the one Marcel had questioned.

-"It certainly is sufficient, honoured one. Thank you for your hospitality, on behalf of myself and my friend who speaks no human words." She stroked Torrado's sleek neck, noting the annoyance of the druid at being assumes for a serving boy or groom and filing it away in her mind. "I would not wish to trouble you further, sir, though I am grateful for the offer. If it is acceptable, I shall groom and settle my horse myself, before attending to my own hunger. Torrado's needs come before mine." -Receiving a nod from the druid, she set about her daily ritual. He was unsaddled, unbridled, groomed, watered and fed. She stored the tack where the druid showed her, placing her bow there as well, though she kept Nymeria and the courtsword at her waist. When Torrado had been settled, she bowed to the druid and thanked him again, then joined the captain the others in the hall.

-Kaane aimlessly walked around, with little intent, not really speaking to anyone and minding himself. He was looking over the craftsmanship of the complex, with nothing better to do.

The younger druid that Eliana eyed in the center of the hall glanced over at Eliana, before blushing slightly. He looked down. "Forgive me, Lady Half-Elf. I am afraid that I have not seen a female anything in quite some time. You have caught me off guard. We do what we must here. We are lucky that the orcs have not attacked us. The Elders thank the gods, but I believe the orcs do not truly care for what we have here. There is nothing here for them to take. Why would they attack us?"
A lone druid traveling between the stables and the main building saw Kaane wandering outside. "Do you not require any sustenance, sir Elf? Surely, our food is sufficient?" He continued to walk as he spoke, heading inside the stone building.
Captain Marcel finished eating and stood up, seeing his companions starting to enter the hall. "Come, friends. Eat, drink, and be merry. Let your worries subside. The druids shall keep us safe for the night." The druids stayed up. One of them walked up to Marcel. "I shall show you to your rooms, if you wish." Marcel nodded, and was shown to his room.
