Why the hell has this not been threaded yet!?

One of the first mecha-anime I've seen, and hell, one of the first I've ever seen. I love it to bits, from all the awkward quiet moments to the epic battles against the angels and even when Motha Fuckin' Shinji broke the sound barrier! That's right, while I'm at it, Evangelion You Can (Not) Advance, the polished version of the series itself.

Eh, I'm not too much of a fan of the Rebuild films. It's like they've just crammed in as many battle scenes and fanservice (*cough* Mariisn'tavalidcharacterjustaparachutingbucketoftits *cough*) as is humanly possible, just to make up for the grand clusterfuck that was the last few episodes of the main series. Being of the 90~ minute format, they also ignored far too much character development and skipped straight to the end. Neither was there anywhere near enough Asuka for my liking.

I do love End of Evangelion immensely though, the fight against the JSDF and the Mass Production Evas is still one of my favourite fight scenes to this day. The series remaining my one true love, of course.
