fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/278/f/2/color_drawing_of_a_bird_by_thekingdude-d4bx4xv.jpg (Full size) Just something I've been working on in art class, still have yet to put in the background. Which is why I scanned it as-is, because I can't trust myself not to fuck up putting that in xD Anyways, hope everyone likes it, at least a bit. I don't think it's that great, but... eh, some have said it was good xD Anyways, yup. Critique, tell me why it sucks and how to fix it if need be~

Well, it's only really for class, never done anything in my spare time. Just... I dunno, if not needed, I don't do as well. I guess Anyways, glad you think it's good xD I'll post more of future things though I suppose, if you so desire

What medium was this made in? It looks really good, but I gotta say what's bringing it down the most is the outlines you've put in a few places. Outlines make a drawing look really flat and I think it would do wonders for the whole composition if you tried your best to make them less noticable.

Oh yeah, that's white chalk, and it came from transitioning it from a standard pencil drawing onto the paper to make it easier to go in and start shading it. I've finished it now, adding in the full background, though I don't think I got the outlines entirely out, though should be at least a bit less noticeable by now. As for medium, um... Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by that xD I don't know the terminology for anything really, just a standard highschool art class. If it's what I used though, essentially colored pencils, though they were colored charcoal or something specifically, I think. Thanks for the reply

Well, Vyse knows his shit when it comes to art, so i'd take his advice on how to improve it. I think, as a total noob, that it looks great.

On my earlier note, pastel pencils or something specifically, I think it was. And, thanks Moogle Also, I know, I've seen Vyse the Great's work on Deviantart xD Sadly, some of the chalk marked in too hard to easily be removed or covered over, but, eh. Got it somewhat better, in its current form.
