Dragon Quest the Forgotten Stories Prologue

The vast and beautiful Kingdom of Atlantis, which has been ruled by an evil King for many of years but, from for however far back this started no one knows who the King looks like except for his guards and generals.
Now then, you know every proper story has a beginning right? Well, this one doesn't, this story takes place around a kid about say 18 or 19 years old no one knows his name other then he's just a wandering paladin that looks for a nice place to stay. The wondering paladin has been lost in this forest for about 5 days now and is still looking for the exit, well lady luck is about to come his way once he gets up.

"Gee whiz! I hope I get out of this forest soon so I can begin my adventure to spread peace and justice everywhere and make lots of friends!" Hero said as he walked through with a massive grin on his face.

By the time the kid had walked about 15 or more miles the tress started to vanish and a river could be heard where he was at. Now what the kid didn't know was that something was waiting for him at the river.

"THIS RIVER MUST BE PURGED!" Hero said as he drew his sword and started attacking the water.

As the kid attacked the water a few fish were caught up by his sword by the 15th swing tentacles started to come up along with purple blood after that a monsters body floated up. Now, the kid had something to eat along with something to jump on to quickly cross the river.

"ANOTHER VICTORY FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE!" Hero exclaimed as he grabbed the fish and used the monster's corpse to jump across the water.

As the kid ventured forward he found himself coming to a town with all kinds of shop and only one Inn that was ran by a Teen and his Girlfriend. But, that being beside the point the kid needed somewhere he could rest and what better place then the Inn. As the kid enter the town he saw a sign with the name of the town, the sign read "Clock Town".

Hero drew his blade, "FEAR NOT CITIZENS OF ATLANTIS! I, Hero, the greatest Paladin to ever live, will rid you of all sadness and fear, IN THE NAME OF TRUTH AND JUSTICE!"

As the kid wandered through the town he decided to head towards the Inn since it was night time. As the kid entered he saw the lazy owner sleeping there silently and peaceful the kid decided to ring the bell to wake him up.

As the bell rang the owner stretched and yawned as he lifted his hat up off his face. The man then said,"Why, hello there traveler how may I help you?" The owner then awaited the kids reply.

"I am looking for new ways to spread the name of the greatest Paladin of all time, Hero Protagonist, IN THE NAME OF TRUTH AND JUSTICE! I SHALL SMITE ANY WICKED BEINGS!" Hero exclaimed as he unsheathed his sword and pointed it upwards.

The owner chuckled a bit after what the kid said. After he got done chuckling he said this to the kid,"Listen kid, you can try to do that but, everything is already gone to hell and well no one wouldn't after what happened to the last group of travelers that went to do that by killing the Evil King." The owner then sighed and began to tell the kid something else,"Besides, there's just one problem you have on your hands there, and that beaning the fact that you have no one else to help along with having that old sword and shield there." The owner then pointed to the kids gear. After awhile the owner decided to introduce himself,"Well, let me at least tell you my name, the name's Kyle Von Skully a pleasure to meet you." As he finished he a waited the kid to tell him his name.

But, before the kid could one of Kyle's buddy's burst opened the front door of the Inn. After that Kyle yelled and asked what he was doing,"What in gods name are you doing Kevin?!" Which was Kyle's best friend since they were kids he also ran the bar that was next door to the Inn. As Kevin got down catching his breathed he told Kyle why he had burst opened the door,"Kyle, it's Rosa, see I went with her to protect her and stuff since you were busy and well some orcs came and toke her and knocked me out."Kevin then felt sorry for not protecting her more carefully. After that Kyle said,"You idiot, if they have then they'll probably rape her!"Kyle then looked at the kid and asked him,"Hey you want to prove yourself a true hero and like that well follow me to the caves, Kevin you come as well." Kyle then went to grab his whip and hat. He the said,"Alright you two lets go and save Rosa." Kyle then awaited for the kid to start them off by answering Kyle, to prove that he is the hero Atlantis deserves.

The kid had no answer so he went on without a care.

Roberto was in the cave at the time, hiding from groups of Genma which had passed by the entrance. They looked like media.giantbomb.com/uploads/2/20727/766207-genmas_super.jpg and held dual wielded swords. He walked around a bit, and thought of getting out of the cave.
