Before Isaac could comment on the situation Tianlong formed and glanced at Zephyre, "If I am not mistaken, you are the voice I heard when I checked for Talfen. I am Tianlong."
Isaac rubbed his back as he looked to Talfen and the new arrival, "Nice to see you finally got a pact partner. Hopefully yours is less of a buzzkill," Isaac said as a bit of blood dripped down from his back. The pain helped distract him from how cold it was thanks to the new hole in his shirt.

-"Oh, I'm sure she's quite fine Isaac. Many adventures to be had yet." Talfen looked over him again, seeing he was bleeding. Talfen retrieved the ointment he'd been given not so long earlier, and extended it to him, "Need something for the boo-boo?" Talfen used a slightly condescending tone, flashing a faint grin as Zephyre spoke to them others, "It is good to meet those that are companions of Talfen." She turned to Tianlong specifically this time, "I imagine that would have been me that you heard, yes. I do not know of any other spirits around here that would speak such." She wore a friendly and warm smile as she spoke.

Isaac sighed, turned around, and lifted up his shirt, "Just don't lie to me and say it's not gonna hurt."
Tianlong laughed a bit before turning back to Zephyre, "I thank you for that. Had you not told me, I would have wasted time on a doomed cause. Either way, I am glad the young warrior is safe."

-"Nope, can't lie anymore. It's gonna sting like a bitch." At that Talfen applied the ointment to Isaac's wound. As he applied it, the flesh worked itself back together, kniting at a fast rate. Talfen had a bit of a look of surprise on his face, containing less than what he felt. "That's... quite fast..." he thought more, 'I suppose saying it hurts like a bitch was more of an understatement then.' 'To let you know, yes, it's quite excruciating as I understand it, at least from what I have seen in its previous use."

Isaac's eyes shot open the moment Talfen applied it to his back, "OH DEAR SON OF A FUCKING WHORE THAT HURTS LIKE A BIT- wait did you just say you couldn't lie?" The pain stopped as Tianlong sent chi running throughout Isaac's back, "I'm guessing that's your pact price?"

-"Oh, yes. I'm quite the truth sayer now, though, I was thinking of working on a loophol-" From this he got a stern glance from Zephyre, to which he chuckled, with the faintest hint of what may been have been nervousness to it. "No, to be honest... not that I could be anything other than, come to think of it, I'm not to lie now, though, I feel lucky to a degree, as I don't really feel the need to lie will come that often, and if I'm to not say anything, I can refrain from speaking." Talfen moved from Isaac some, the ointment's effect going. "Well, that's done then."

-Luke hesitantly pushed the key into the lock and turned it. They heard a clank as the door swung open, but as nothing obvious happened, they decided to walk down the stairs, filling Talfen in about what had happened in his abscence. They entered a chamber as large as the other, but much less homely. There was a large marble plinth in the centre of the room, beneath a wire structure that looked something like a chandelier without candles, or a cradle of sorts. Surrounding this centrepiece was a crowd of stone figures-centaurs, eagles, horses, wolves. Large and small, the beautifully crafted statues filled the room. The door they had entered from was the only entrance or exit to the room.

-Luke ran his eyes over the room, turning back to the rest of them and shrugged. "I'd say that's as good a welcome as we are getting." And began to make his way inside, observing the odd and beautiful statues all around the room.

-The statues were a wild company. There were four lions in the middle of a hint, four great eagles perched on chunks of alabaster cliffs. A small, hand crafted statuette of a nymph held an olive branch, a sad smile on her face. Three rowdy centaurs reared up with wine jars in their hands. A faerie searched its pockets fruitlessly for its keys. A snow leopard held its own tail in its jaws. Three statues in particular caught Luke's eyes. They were all around the same size. A fierce falcon dove downwards, a sparrowhawk clung to a branch and shrieked silently at the group, and another soared on the air, though in truth it lay on the cold marble floor. They were so realistically carved that to be amidst them was unnerving.

-Luke turned to look over the room filled with the statues, feeling oddly jumpy in this place. "If they start moving when we aren't looking I swear..." Luke muttered before turning to the statue of the soaring sparrowhawk, thinking back for a moment to the hanging mesh of wire from the ceiling. "I wonder..." He whispered, turning to Talfen. "You think one of these is the one that needs to learn to fly?"

-"Yes, I quite think so. Now... there is a falcon, and two hawks. As we are looking for a hawk that needs to fly..." He walked over to the sparrowhawk statue that had its feet wrapped tight to a branch. "This doesn't much look like the one we would need compared to the one that lays on the floor, yes? It looks out of place, of sorts." "Shall we move it then, atop the wire... the wire 'thing' that is above?" Zephyre had placed odd emphasis, disliking to resort to using 'thing' as a lack for a way to adequately describe it to her eye. As for what she had said, Talfen nodded, though hesitated before bring speaking again. "Zephyre, would you, er, terribly mind handling this? I'm not quite practiced yet... I don't quite think smashing statues is on the agenda for today either." To that Zephyre smiled, and brought the statue up atop the wire chandelier, swiftly and smoothly carrying it through the air, to which it found a quick and peaceful stop resting up high. "We shall have to work that out at a later date, then, Talfen. I'll handle things for now then."

-There was a loud clunk, and then a crack from above. "Arbalester! Come swiftly!"[/i] -"Yes," the dragon called, "I think whatver you did worked rather well."
-They ran back up the steps, into the main chamber. Embedded in the large altar, there was now a silver arrow, gleaming under the blue light that shone through the ice. The altar began to shift of its own accord. When Luke looked up at the mosaic, he saw that the rider of the white dragon no longer had an arrow on the string of his bow. Rather than dwell on the oddness of that, Luke looked back at the altar. It had now moved entirely aside, and revealed a large hole in the floor. They all gathered around to look down, dragon and griffin peering over the humans' heads.
-And then the entire floor gave way.
-They fell for what seemed like hour, through fire and water. From the highest peak to the lowest dungeon they tumbled, and both dragon and griffin found themselves unable to use their wings. Eventually, as they fell through this black abyss, they saw light at the end of their tunnel, and never before had that phrase seemed so fitting. A swirling glowing fog formed something of a platform, hanging insubstantially in midair. Expecting to plunge through this mist as they had the darkness, the group was surprised to find their downward flight slowing, until they were gently dropped upon the milky galaxy that was more solid than the stone floor above them had been. The chamber they were in seemed impossibly large and as black as a winter night.
-The translucent white orb that had pulled Arioch through the ice spire was resting upon the swirling, glowing surface, the pact mark upon it pulsing erratically. With each pulse, a tiny crack appeared on the orb. Arioch lay beyond the broken orb, her eyes closed and the fire that had lit her was extinguished. Not even a dim glow remained.

-Luke slowly made his way to his feet, holding his head and arm, the side he landed on at least, as he turned to see the new area that surrounded them. Then his attention snapped to the crumbled body on the floor. "Arioch!" Luke managed, rushing over to her side, despite his own pains, and reached down, running his hand over her forehead, then over her wrist, attempting to shake her awake, if gently. When his attention finally waned just enough, Luke stole a glance at the orb of white light that brought her here, unsure of what to think, so he turned back to the unconscious, he hoped, elf. "Arioch...Arioch are you okay?" He whispered, hoping to shake her awake.

Ulaer died, and was transported through space and time, he was on his way. But then the shadow pulled him back.
" NOT YET. IT IS NOT TIME FOR YOU."
Ulaer popped back into existance, ringless. He shivered, and saw. He was human. He looked about the town, and the bar where he had just left. "Wheres my ring? NO. NOT HUMAN. WHERE IS MY RING!??!?!?!" He screamed, searching. His hatred flared as he saw skin. HIS skin. "NO!!!! NOT HUMAN!!!!!" He was freaking out.
He was actually an attractive human. White blonde hair, pale skin. But strong. When he moved, it was blurry. Like he was still half shadow.
He fell to the ground and wept, he needed his ring. He couldn't be human. He couldn't. Then he felt a pain in his knee. He lifted his leg and found the ring. Silver with a dark jemstone set in it. Up close you could tell it wasnt true silver, but some sort of stone. It had many surfaces, each of them like a mirror. Ulaer picked up the ring, and slid it on. He became engulfed in his shadow. Wraith once more.
"I will not die so easily, fates." Ulaer said to the sky.

-Talfen lifted his hand slightly at Luke, before letting it drop. Zephyre looked curiously, in wonder of why he'd rushed over so quickly to her. "Luke, why di-" Talfen had cut her off at this point, though. He shook his head, 'It would be best to leave him be for now... please understand.' He looked down somewhat, giving Zephyre an air of understanding, though she looked over the two and watched closely.
