With all the crap life puts you through it's good to have an escape from reality. No, not drugs and not alcohol, I mean Animal Crossing. The game which takes the little mundane things of life and somehow incorporates it into a decent game. This game has a way of just utterly relaxing me and relieving any stress I once had. Whether you're digging for dinosaur bones, fishing for that rare tuna, looking for that one piece of clothing or furniture Animal Crossing possesses a certain charm to it. Despite how little there appears to be in this game series there are plenty of things to do, and daresay almost unlimited options and possibilities. Owning Animal Crossing: City Folk myself, I find that it teaches you to cherish the little things in life, like completing a dinosaur skeleton in the museum, or catching a new fish or bug for the museum's collection.
Just wanted to hear your thoughts on this game series.
I'll leave the rest to KK Slider here...

After having owned Wild world on the DS since it came out, I must say I like this game. It's a little slice of relaxation and I love listening to the music at the times of the day, it gives a real feel for the game. I never got a mansion funnily enough though I kept the same save for years, never bothered me really. Playing with friends made it the best!
It's all cool until moma turns the DS off thinking you weren't playing it. Put it this way, I gave her the DS and made her deal with Resetti. I'm such a nice daughter.

I have owned all of the Animal Crossing games, and I find them all to be increadable charming. Aesthetically the games are beautiful and I just love wandering around town in the rain with my brolly up.
But I have some major gripes with the game, and I think my biggest one is the amount of control I have over my town. The amount of times I arive in my town, only to find it looks like shit, everyone who lives there is shit and my avatar looks like shit. I should be able to design my town before I get there. I should be able to deisign my charater as opposed to the game making one based on how I answered my questions and I should be able to kick out the Whore Penguin and Guido Bull out of Waffland!
Also, I think it would be nice if there was an option to have all world hoidays turned on. I would have the 4th of july and thanksgiving in my animal crossing. It would mean there are more days to look forward too.
