Samara held back her disgust, "Nothing at all," was all she said to Alpha before turning and heading to her quarters, 'You'll get to kill Vice, you'll get to kill Vice, you'll get to kill Vice...' was all she thought about as she made her way to her room.

-Ebenezar nodded, understanding Alpha almost perfectly. As the others walked off, he approached Nera. "Now about that drink...." He said, smoothing his beard down, smiling warmly. "You've got me thinking about it, and I just can't stop. I haven't had a good pint in an age!" Ebenezar let out a warm chuckle.

"So, what, the only details I'm getting is that we're killing them because they're evil, and that's that? Fine, be illusive like that if it helps indulge that horrendously large ego of yours, whatever floats your boat," Arthur spat, glaring at the others on his way to his room. What the hell was he doing here? Even after the mad god was killed, things would remain the same: men and mer killing each other for scraps of untainted food and water; people giving up everything for the hope of a safe life, only to have it taken away; the bones of generations resting on the old world dead to be picked apart by rodents. War never changed, and neither did "human" nature no matter how much folk would try to convince themselves. All of this felt so...pointless. 'I don't think much of our hosts, either,' Arthur grumbled as he kicked open the door to his quarters, or whatever that Worgen bastard had called them.

-Ilo simply tilted his head at Alpha's statement. No doubt referring to his own convictions, regardless, his mind wandered a bit before snapping to reality at the mention of the beasts for which they where meant to fight. At the very mention of the vile thing's name, Ilo clinched his fist on the handle of his weapon, make shift or no. "Vice..." He whispered to himself, turning his face back up to Alpha, his eyes now burning with an anger known only to a few. Glancing at his fellow 'team' though he used the term as lightly as he could, Ilo listened to Arthur's anger. Pointless? Perhaps in some eyes, but not so in others. More can be said about taking down a symbol, much less a god, then can be explained. Ilo did not care however, rather, he could not care. Thinking of time after Vice's demise...it was simply not in him, not what drove him. Yet all the same, he felt an itch, deep in his mind, to ease the man's sorrows. Surely he too felt the pain so many others do. While his mind rambled, Ilo moved on towards his own room, if for nothing but a short meditation, giving Alpha and the women with him, Nera, another glance before leaving. Intentions aside, they where doing something about it.

Each room was spacious, surprisingly, considering how close the doors were. They had one queen-sized bed, a bed-stand, a desk, an extra door leading to a bathroom, and a little something special to remind them of home. How the leaders did this was still a mystery.
Nera let her gaze fall to Ebenezar, and wondered if the drink was the /only/ thing he couldn't stop thinking about. She had a habit of priding herself a little too much. "Well, since Alpha isn't sending all of you on your first missions for a while yet, I believe we have plenty of time to get a drink. Would you like to invite anyone?" The warm glow of her eyes shifted to the right, where Alpha was. The Worgen was headed to his own room, most likely to do some planning.

-Ebenezar could see the gears turning in Nera's mind. 'Great, another one. Sometimes I amaze even myself.' He joked lightly in his own thoughts. "I know none of these people, so I shall politely decline your offer. Plus, we don't want a third wheel ruining our evening, now do we?" He said, a small smirk appearing on his face.

With a hand sliding over one of her horns, her black hair moving behind her shoulder at that movement, Nera's eyes flickered back to Ebenezar. "Third wheel." She giggled softly. Her other hand moved to her hip. "Well, sir dwarf," She said that with a kind tone, "You get to choose the bar, then." She reached into the napsack at her hip and felt through the gold coins, listening to them jingle. "I'm pretty sure I can buy anything you'd like."

-"Gold, eh?" Ebenezar said, something deep within him stirring. "I like that in a woman." His eyes twinkled, his thoughts filled with piles upon piles of gold. Coins, bars, cups, jewelery, every kind of gold imaginable. He shook his head slightly. 'Ah, I guess our love of gold shall never die.' He thought, looking back up to Nera. "I would love to, my lady, but I know no taverns around here. Let us just walk together and see what we shall find, eh?" Ebenezar said, offering his hand, a smile on his face.

"Hehe, I take it you like a rich woman." Of course. She found that amusing. Especially since she had plenty of gold to spare. This whole operation did. But the sources would remain secret. "Let's do that. I know a place that serves the strongest lager around." She glanced to the golems and locked door, then back to Ebenezar's outstretched hand. Her eyes glowed a slightly brighter white as she focused her magic. "Let me take you out." With that, she reached down, and at the very moment she touched Ebenezar's hand, they were engulfed in a bright white light. When it faded, they were in a dark room. Nera reached over to a wall on her right, and opened a wooden door that opened almost silently. It revealed one of the many town halls in this city. "This is where I'll be teleporting you guys most of the time, by the way. Take note." She smiled down at him, her eyes emitting light and casting an eerie glow about them.

-"Well, shall we get going, my lady?." Ebenezar said playfully offering his arm up to Nera, his eyes twinkling as well.

He was so comfortable with her already. Amazing. "Of course. Follow me. We're sure to have a lovely time." She turned her eyes in front of her, and took his arm, walking out of the small inconspicuous shack and into the bustling streets. It was market day, so the roads were clustered with people of all ages gathering around stalls. Nera steered Ebenezar away from the crowds so they could hear eachother better on the way. "Where exactly is your hometown, Ebenezar?" She asked this out of plain curiosity. "I can't quite find it on the Tunnel-Map." This was the map of all of the underground cities that were created. It was updated monthly because of the constant digging.

-Ebenezar's eyes filled with memories. "Ah, I doubt it would show up. It's a very small village waaay out there. Alba, it's called. Charming little place, filled with dwarfs. There's not much there, except for the old Church." At those words, a flame lit up in his eyes. "The god Friender truly smiles upon that place." His voice was filled with passion and a drive like no other.

"Friender...." She muttered, "Hm... What is your God like?" She tilted her ears down when she ducked under a rug that two people were carrying. "Is he vengeful? Spiteful? Like Vice at all? Or is he loving? ... Or is he a he?" This perked her interest. Without Vice to trust in, she was looking for something to put her faith into.

-Ebenezar's eyebrows slowly rose up, along with a smile. "You wish to hear of Friender, eh?" A slight chuckle escaped his lips as he continued. "Well, let's start at the beginning, shall we?" Ebenezar cleared his throat, as if getting ready for a speech he had spent days preparing for. "In the beginning, many gods ruled this world. They all worked together to create the sky, the soil, the trees, everything. One day, it is said, Friender descended down from the heavens, something that none of the other gods dared to do. He walked among the others creations, smelling the grass, feeling the wind. He felt as if....something were missing. Suddenly, he inhaled deeply and exhaled out, covering the land in his breathe. All of the sudden, little things began popping out from the soil. These were the world's first dwarfs. Friender smiled as his work, and left them to live as they would, watching over them. As the dwarfs developed, learning to hunt and survive, the other gods took notice. They liked the idea of having inhabitants, but the dwarfs were just too.....earthy for their tastes. Soon, other inhabitants began appearing in the world, some tall and elegant, others bulky and strong, but the dwarfs remained. They took notice of the world's inhabitants and decided they were better off underground, developing their secret ways out of the gaze of the big-folk, as they called them. And-" He cut himself off, sighing with a smile. "Sorry, I'm just so used to preaching the entire story that I sometimes forget who my audience is. To sum up, Friender is a kind god, who gave life to my people. He is fierce when defied, but eager to help those that seek it." Ebenezar finished, stroking his beard.

Nera simply smiled warmly with a nod. "Your God seems much more kind than Vice... Does he have a body? A... Physical form?" A hand strayed up to one of her horns. They were near the bar now, and the marketplace was slowly thinning out the further they got. Close to the bar now, Nera turned to Ebenezar, reaching into her gold bag. "After y--"
"ATTENTION CITIZENS!"[/b] A booming, metallic voice exploded from the speakers high above the town. Nera grit her teeth. Perfect timing. At that, an alarm, a droning electronic whine, sounded almost loudly enough to be painful.
Alpha started violently at the sound of the announcement and alarm. He stood quickly. "ATTENTION! RED ALERT! THE SURFACE PASSAGE HAS BEEN BREACHED! ALL SOLDIERS REPORT TO THE MAIN GATES IMMEDIATELY! REPEAT, ALL SOLDIERS..."[/b] Alpha growled in an excited way, shouting loud enough for everyone in their rooms to hear. "Alright, ladies and gents! It's time to show me what you're all capable of! Let's get our armour and weapons, and get out there! I'll meet you all at the front gates!" Closing his eyes and focusing, a bright flash of light shone out, and he disappeared... Reappearing in front of the main gates, among hundreds of royal soldiers. They were lined up in a defensive formation, watching the commander at the front. Looking around, Alpha unsheathed his claws. He could hear the horrible heavy, raspy breathing from the demons far off in the tunnels.
