Samuel released one hand from his blade to block the kick, "That stance..." Samuel said quietly. He then scowled as he gave a swift kick to knock Iridis back, and then lept back, "It is not important! Come now! it is your turn to go on the offensive!" Samuel said as he took a stance strangely similar to Iridis'.

Iridis cackled strangely, disturbed by this man's keenness to die, yet glad to finally face a true duelist; one who would face him truly, fighting not with brawn but wit - as was the duelist's way. Iridis switched his stance to favour lighter blows, then to Samuel's surprise, rolled to the side and began advancing on him with a spinning guard, the sword humming in the air.

Samuel managed to block the attack just in time, "There is no doubt, you fight as the man in my memories," Samuel then lept back, "But there is one ability you have not gained." Before Iridis could react Samuel thrusted his arm forward and caused a small explosion. It didn't harm Iridis, but it made a cloud of smoke inbetween the two. Samuel lunged through the cloud with his arms overhead in an attempt to strike down Iridis.

Iridis only barely escaped this most unexpected of blows, his foe's sword skimming his coat just as he ducked to the right. 'Shit, this guy is playing against my air-reading," he barely had time to think, before another swing came at him, this time going for his legs. Iridis leaped over Samuel's head, viciously kicking him in the back and sending him clattering into his desk.

Samuel stood up and began a cackling laughter, "AT LONG LAST! I FINALLY FEEL TRULY ALIVE!!!" Samuel said as he charged at Iridis. He brought his blade overhead for an attack and brought it down. Iridis blocked. Samuel then slid his blade off and spun around for another attack. THe two parried each other once again. Samuel then unleashed a flurry as Iridis was caught by a snig, but then there was an opening. Samuel spun around once more, and instead of blaocking, Iridis ducked. Samuel was caught off guard as Iridis thrusted his katana into Samuel's side. Samuel stopped as he felt his life starting to slip away. He looked Iridis in the eye, and smiled, "Thank you," he said as he coughed up a bit of blood, "I knew that you would beat me ever since I saw your stance, you fight similar to the man in my memories, memories that are not my own," Samuel grunted loudly as he slid off the blade and fell down. He laid there laughing as tears filled his eyes, "That damned Sphere. I was the most ruthless man on this planet until I used it. I would kill women, children, anyone that stood in my way without a second glace, but that damned thing made me a different man," Samuel coughed a bit, "You have freed me. When it leaves my body, take it. It was obviously meant for you," Samuel stopped as he coughed up more blood, "Good luck young man, I hope to see you in the afterlife," Samuel's eyes the slowly slid shut as his body went limp. Samuel, was dead.
As he laid there a bright light started to glow in his stomach. It flashed brightly, illuminating the entire room as a small orb grow out of his stomach. The orb glowed a bright blue light as a figure could be seen inside, fighting similar to Iridis and Samuel. It was a Power Sphere.

Iridis panted heavily, crystalline beads of sweat dripping down his face through and around the deep-set scars that painted him so. In that instant, Iridis felt the peculiar energy pattern of the spherical object his foe had relinquished: creeping tendrils of energy like no other, just wishing to latch onto someone; to share the power, the mysteries inside. Though standing a good metre and a half from the object, Iridis kept seeing visions of a warrior more wind than man, movements scarcely visible. 'Am I going mad?' he thought, reading the lavishly decorated office, 'Samuel said that it had stripped his mind of his previous identity, made him see things differently...' Again all barriers of caution, Iridis couldn't help but yearn for this sphere's power, hungering for the power it held. The flashes he saw...that could be him!
And so he reached down and took the power sphere.

The orb glowed bright than ever as it seemed to pulse with energy. Then an massive explosion of light erupted as the Power Sphere began to meld with Iridis' skin. The pain was unimaginable. As if someone were bonding with his very soul. He couldn't hold back anymore. He let out a gruesome scream as he dropped to his knees. As he caught a glimpse of the sphere going deeper and deeper into his skin the pain only grew. Suddenly memories were poured into his head like a movie. Only vague as to what they were. After what seemed like an eternity of memories that were not his, something became clear. A young Echani man was seen making a small explosion with nothing more than his hands. Then, as suddendly as it had come, the pain and images stopped as Iridis could hear people approaching.

-Kazuma walked out of the bathroom after taking a nice, relaxing shower. He sighed in relief, wearing a very fluffy cotton bathrobe. He plopped down on the couch next to his pack, dug through it and pulled out a book. It was fairly thick, and looked like it had been worn down severely, due to the amount of time it had been read. He flicked to a page that was marked by a bookmark and continued reading, a peaceful expression on his face.

Iridis awoke with a start, feeling the memories that were still not quite his own ravage his mind; burrowing deep into his subconscious. "Wh...what the fuck was that?" He spoke aloud, grasping for something, anything real to grasp onto, for just a second. A headache etched deep into his skull, he got up to hear scurrying about the mansion, voices myriad. Banging on the door, persistent and foreboding, resembling a funeral bell to Iridis. "Sir, are you alright? We heard a noise," the voice called, the urgency evident in his voice. There was no time to think, only to run. Still struggling with the vision in his head, Iridis grabbed his sword from the floor and dropped back into the underground passage that stretched the complex. Sprinting as hard as he could, he outstripped pursing guards, the tracking feeds of turrets, and what felt like time itself. Guards appeared in front of him out of secondary entrances, but they stood no chance- most were beheaded in passing, many shot in what seemed to be a natural reaction for the fleeing target.
Coming out to the undercity was little relief; behind the voices of many shouted out, their fury practically oozing outwards. Turning into an alley, Iridis began scaling pipe, aerial and pillar in a desperate bid to escape the undercity, to return to a civilisation without risk of being shot in the face when you walk down the road.. Bullets whizzed past at every interval, guards firing en masse at any shape they saw in the inky blackness above without reservation nor care for the maiming of innocents. After a few bullets harmlessly bounced of his bluesteel-ribbed coat, Iridis' determination hardened, still searching diligently for a hatch upwards...there! Sealing it to the utter frustration of the thugs that previously had pursued him, he nonchalantly walked into the hotel, savouring the shocked faces of passers by and hotel staff as this man, dirtied and heavily armed went straight to the elevator.
Upon his return Iridis simply collapsed upon the sofa, uncaring as to the queries from the others still awake.

James eyed Iridis strangely, he had no idea where he had been, nor did he care. He laid back and watched TV for the next few hours before it was time to go to bed.
The sun peaked over the horizon as it hit James' eyes. He turned over and grabbed his Readius, which had been resting on the nightstand, "Six AM..." he muttered to himself as he smacked his lips. He pulled the covers off to reveal his six pack. He then began to do a few morning exercises. After working out for a good ten minutes he got dressed and awoke the rest of the crew. After a eating a nutritious breakfast cooked by Kazuma, those that needed to eat anyways. The crew then headed out for the transport shuttle, and were soon on their way.
As the shuttle neared Frostbite Mountain the stench of death permeated the air, "Hotel should have been built here instead. Looks like a great place to take the kids," James said with a chuckle. The transport landed on a small cliff outside a cave leading deep into the mountain. After the crew departed off the transport immediately took off. James laughed at it as the crew headed into the cave.
Inside it was very dark, causing James to use his fireball spell to light the way. The walls were littered in blood, most of it red. Skulls were piled up here and there, along with various other human bones. The group walked for what seemed like ages until they reached a small wooden door, "Whatever's through here isn't going to be happy to see us," James said as he turned to his team, "It's not too late to leave." His statement was returned with confident looks. James nodded with a smirk as he slid the door open.
Through the door was a massive cavern, filled with holes in the walls that seemed to have eyes that watched the party's every movement, "This is the perfect place for an ambush, stay on your toes," James said as he waded cautiously through the cavern. As he reached the other end he heard a scream, one of a man, as goblins started pouring from the walls, "FUCK!" James exclaimed as the screams grew louder, "IRIDIS, VALEN, MITSURO, SEPP, AND CRITIAS STAY HERE AND FEND THESE GUYS OFF!! CLEP, KAZUMA, AND MILES, YOU'RE WITH ME!!" James yelled as he dashed towards the screams. He darted through the cave until they reached another door, this one massive, as it looked like a giant could easily fit through. James blasted the door open with a gust of wind, tearing the old rotten wooden doors off of their hinges to reveal a horrific sight.
Inside was a large room with a giant monster. It had a metal helmet covering its entire face, and its right hand was replaced with a long blade. His legs were bare, but he wore a strange metal thing on his waist that reached up to make a collar around his neck. On his wrists and ankles were irons. He towered over them, and was at least thirty feet tall as he squashed the source of the noise, a young man in his mid twenties. He threw the young man to the side and charged at the four with a loud roar.

-Kazuma drew his blade immediately and thrust his hand forward, a new card appearing in the dark flame. He clenched his fist and the card shattered. Suddenly, everyone in the party felt their muscles strengthen, tighten, sending a feeling of power through their bodies. He leaped out of the way of the charge and thrust his hand forward again. Another card appeared in his hand, and as he clenched it, it shattered. The giant beast suddenly felt his skin get softer, and all the metal add-on's he had get softer as well. "SORRY ABOUT THIS!!!" Kazuma yelled as he fired off a bolt of lightning. Not at the beast....but at Miles.
-Cleptsii also dived out of the way and took out his MUTHER FUCKIN SHAWTGUHN!!! "AND I PULL OUT MAH GUN!!!!" Cleptsii shouted as he cocked it and fired a blast right at the thing's knee.

-Miles turned to Kazuma suddenly, shocked at his...betrayal? Wait, no, that was not it. Miles was indeed struck by the lightning, but it did not explode upon impact, and yet instead leap across his armor circling his body, Miles felt the massive surge of strength both from the buff and the sudden bolt. Miles shifted his gaze to the beast before him, landing on the cave floor, his toes curling into the dirt as he formed his blade swiftly. Something was different now, however, the lightning from before was dancing off the blade, as if it were dancing across the sky, Miles could not help but chuckle, turning his gaze downward for a moment before speaking "Excellent... Good thinking indeed." He said before suddenly turning to the beast fast, and was gone, tearing at the ground as he launched himself hard into the beast, it suddenly felt the humanoid being slam against him, the blade slashing so fast nearly no one could follow it before Miles drew back and slammed the blade forward, thrusting the blade into the beast, leaping upwards and grabbing hold of its helmet with one claw and roaring as he attempted to rip if off, goading the being into, perhaps, attacking itself.

The beast roared as he grasped a hold of Miles and started squeezing tightly. Before it could crush him however, a yell was heard, "FALCON PUNCH!!" James yelled as he slammed his fist, which now had a falcon seemingly made of wind circling it, right into the beast's wrist. It let out a cry as it dropped Miles and turned its attention to James. James leapt back as the thing charged him. It was running full speed when James lept over him, causing the best to run in the wall. James looked at the thing curiously as it turned around and seemed dazed before charging Kazuma.

-The dark aura had already surrounded Kazuma and he looked up as his eye burned gold. "OH SHI-" He yelled and jumped up high. On his descent, Kazuma simultaneously slashed at the beast's already injured wrist with one hand and shot a pure bolt of lightning at its head with the other.
-Clep continued to fire his shotgun at every part of the beast's body that he could get a clear shot at. He laughed as the spray of blood passed over him as the beast charged at Kazuma and continued firing.

The thing grabbed its wrist, but didn't go after Kazuma, instead he charged after Clep, angered at the loud noises his gun was creating.
Meanwhile the other group were nearly overwhelmed by the goblins. It seemed for every one they killed, two more popped out from the walls.
