I built a river leading from the beach to my home... i then built a well inside my home. this worked out well for a while... until winter rolled in, the entrance to the river froze and my river dried up without me knowing. that night while i was relaxingly having a crafting party a spider crawls in through my well and, lets just say i left my sword at the mine... nuff said {PWNED}

I made a cannon that fires TNT that uses a built in timing mechanism and has a shotgun mode.

Thats the thing about minecraft, you never know when there will be a cave. Though it doesn't always appear in a good area. Regarding mods, I have used a couple and my favorite are 303's mods. www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=61032Texture packs I haven't really explored but I have used a custom painterly pack. Gives you more control over what you want. One thing that I frequently use are custom maps. They range from just things that are eye candy to difficult dungeons. My favorite is the labyrinth. www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=24411

Mr. V. Media I think it would be a jolly good idea for you to utilize the modify button if you wish to add to your post. What say you? Edit, Noven- I got it dude. And it's really no problem lol
And to stay on topic: My present minecraft endeavor is too create an underground environment that simulates the outside world, complete with a sun made of glowstone.

BEHOLD! The Wooly Mammoth Fort, Alpha version! Here we see Multi-Coloured-But-Not-In-A-Gay-Way Lane, as well as my house on the cliff. Next up, my um... other room where I do stuff other than sleep. Notice the cloud passing through. Here we have the front door and foyer, before you hit the glass and sheep wool. At the top of this picture you can see the opening of the tunnel I dug through the mountain for easy access, at the bottom you can see one of its 2 exits. And finally, a view up the tunnel plus an exit. Still working on it, forgot to add picture from beneath. Looks like a big multi-coloured clouud and most likely frightens sheep.

If only Minecraft supported animal farming, I could start up my very slaughterhouse. 13 pigs onscreen, 2 offscreen, grand total of 15 cute little piggies
