"Everyone has a story to tell, even if no one cares to listen. With that in mind, here is mine." ~Some hobo on a subway
-"How is the progress report on the...experiment looking, Professor Luke?" A short, stubby man spoke, as he made his way down the hall, surrounded by dark machines, vials of bubbling liquid, addressing a man at the end of the hall, seated and frantically reading through a copious number of folders. The man in the chair was quiet at first, as if finishing the sentence he was reading before sighing, almost in relief, twisting his chair around to face the short one, himself also dressed in a white lab coat as the other was. Behind the seated man on the table were various piles of papers, test tubes, and other strange instruments, his hand letting them slip onto the desk as he faced the stubby one, a bright name tag on the seated one's chest, reading "Professor Luke, Chief Biotech Engineer of The Cerulean Biotech Laboratory." "This is no mere experiment fool! This project will forge a new age in warfare...you know nothing of the possibilities." The scientist "Luke" hissed back. Besides the many mainframes situated along the wall, and various other scientist milling about, ranging from writing things on their clipboards to working on a computer, there was a chamber not far away that caught the Professor's eye, as he turned to gaze at it with a smile of pride. The row of chambers was situated against a wall, almost shrine like, surrounded by the other equipment. Inside was a strange bluish liquid that gave off a soft glow that adorned the room and contrasted the harsh fluorescent lights. Suspended inside was a humanoid figure, floating there not moving, as if asleep. The scientist "Luke" smiled, standing and approaching the tank running his thin wrinkled fingers over the glass with the same smile, almost a sneer as he cackled to himself, eying the golden hair and crimson coat that adorned his 'creation'. "Everything is going swimmingly...My creation will be ready for deployment as soon as its programming is finished... All the tests show the vortexes are stable, its mind is a blank slate, ready for introduction of data, besides the basic speech of course." The Professor spoke, all the while eying the chamber as one would a child, yet nothing parental was felt there. "With that finished, we can go into mass production! Armies of these...things! Can you imagine the possibilities?!" The Scientist "Luke" cried out, waving his arms frantically, eyes wide with an almost sadistic excitement, as he faced the shorter man who looked away almost to avoid eye contact.
-Suddenly a man dressed in a "Security" Uniform burst through the double doors leading to the main area. He had a frantic look on his face as he stumbled down the hall, calling out to them both. "Sirs! Air raid sirens are going off everywhere! Radio broadcasts have gone dead! We think it means..." he almost hesitated, swallowing nervously "The first stone was cast." "What?! No! Not now! Not when I'm so close to transcendence!" The scientist "Luke" shouted, clutching his fists before lunging at the guard, gripping him by his collar and screaming in his face. "Who is your superior!? I will not stand for your-" before he could finish, the earth itself seemed to quake, as around the room large mainframes shook loose from the walls and fell over, smashing against the hard concrete floor, shattering as bolts of electricity jolted out, sending the many others people at their computer screens to stand and attempt to flee only to fall over from the quake as well. After standing once more, the short stubby man ran over to a monitor, apparently looking outside, clinging to the screen before he slowly turned around to face the, by now, only two remaining in the room, white as a ghost. "Judgment...is here." "Damn! Damn it all!!!" The Scientist "Luke" screamed, rushing over to the monitor pushing the stubby man aside and gripping the monitor angrily in his wrinkled hands. There it was, the monitor seemed shaky the static buzzing in and out, yet it could not be mistaken what was there. "Mushroom clouds..." he whispered... staring at their height, almost majesty as flames engulfed the nearby terrain. "Sir! We need to get out of-" "It's too late you moron!" He cried, turning around slowly as the monitor blacked out, the glass shattering from the shock waves fast approaching "They are already here...there is no escape." The professor almost seemed to weep, running over to the chamber nearby "You will not parish this way! My work will not be for naught!" he yelled, pressing a few buttons on the wall nearby as the controls seemed to malfunction. With the professor attempting to save his 'work' the guard went to flee, while the short man took a seat, as if in prayer, while the facility shook once more, powerful fissures were sent cracking down the sides of the room, before finally the attack was upon them. The fires of war engulfed them all, and brought an end to their work... But not their creation...

"Innocent is another way of describing potential, good and bad." ~An old doctor
-The veil of time is a powerful force, withering what remained of the facility away, as rust ate at the insides, the bombs having devastated most of the outer regions of the facility, leaving the rest to be picked clean by scavengers as if an aged carcass. Ages of dust, grime gnawed at the building, the elements ravaging anything that had survived the initial onslaught. Yet despite this environment, the chamber within never faltered, never waned, simply was. The scientist had succeeded it seemed, the creation remained undisturbed after all this time... until one day. -"I told you, it is over here!" A small boy with red hair called to a nearby child, a girl that had followed him to these ruins before them as a mid-morning sun rose high in the sky. "What is so important over here, geez... besides we aren’t supposed to be poking around ruins as it is." The little girl murmured distressingly, her long brown hair reaching to her shoulders, the color rich, similar to the boy's, whose was much shorter. The boy ignored her pleas, as he no doubt often did and simply urged her forward, the sun's heat bringing sweat to them both as the dust kicked up in the wind forming a dust devil or two that climbed the nearby hillside. Climbing over a few boulders to find the sprawl of ruin before them both, it wasn't long before the two children stood at the inside of the ruin, though not much remaining other then a few sections of wall and twisted steel poking through the concrete, rusted down to their core. The red haired boy seemed almost giddy as he took the girl's hand and led her closer, his blue eyes dancing happily as they approached. Standing before the strange chamber, the same bluish hue still being given off, the boy seemed to grow quiet suddenly, his tone more serious. "Check this out..." the boy, now whispered, as if sneaking up on something, approaching the chamber and rubbing the glass to remove some of the dust that embraced the glass. As he did the girl leaned closer to see inside the tank to see the bluish liquid bubble, the glow lighting the inside of the chamber loosely, a humanoid shape clear, one of the most prominent features was the figure’s almost sun gold hair, which swayed gently with the liquid. The being's arms and legs were wrapped in what looked to be leather straps; in fact much of the body was bound in the leather suit. A large crimson overcoat adorned the body, coattails floating at the side as if streams of fire. Two rows of buttons up the front, leading to the waist where the coat split open and hung at the figure’s sides, down to dark brown pant legs that matched the material that bound the rest of the body, ending with heavy looking boots. The children stared in awe, pressing their hands against the glass, when suddenly the thing shifted, as the wall behind the chamber essentially all that remained, collapsed. The large chamber came crashing to the pavement, the children leaping just in time to safety, the boy pulling the girl with him when he jumped out of the way. With a loud crash, the glass shattered on the concrete below, splashing the thick blue liquid all over the floor, leaving the figure lying on the ground as the chamber rolled to the side slowly on the slanted concrete. "Ugh...where...*cough* where am...I?" the being, appearing to be male from the look and sound of it, roused to consciousness, coughing up a bit of the liquid and rolling onto his back slowly, as if attempting to gain his bearings. "W-Who are you mister?" the red haired boy asked, as if afraid the answer from behind a nearby partially destroyed pillar. The man turned his head slowly to look at the boy, his own azure eyes seemed to match the boys, in both color and innocence. He took a moment before answering, moving his lips at first, as if attempting to speak, but seemed to forget the words, and then tried again. "Who…” the man repeated, turning his eye from the boy suddenly, as if truly trying to recall “I… don’t know.” The man murmured as if ashamed, before looking down at where he landed. “You don’t know? Don’t you have a name? What kind of person doesn’t have a name?” The boy seemed confused, as if demanding the man now, his fear slowly vanishing at the man’s innocent tone. “Com’on now, here, I’ll even tell you mine first.” He smiled, stepping closer, though the girl seemed to refuse to do so, staying back despite him urging her forward. “The name’s Jerry!” The boy proudly pointed at himself with his thumbs, before turning to the girl in the corner “That is my sis, Sarah.” Jerry smiled, pointing to her happily, who seemed to hide at the mention of her name. “Now…you go?” Jerry encouraged the man. The man kept his gaze down, perhaps a bit frightened though it wasn’t clear, his attention caught by something on the floor. There on the aged dust-filled floor, the man noticed a small bit of plastic, coated in dust and grime. The man picked up the bit and examined it closely, his finger tips free from the bound leather being one of the few places that was, wiped the plastic clean. The card was mostly smudged and seemed broken off at the edges, though there was one word the man could make out. "L...uke..." he sounded out the word on the small tag. "Luke? That's a weird name mister..." Jerry scratched his head a bit grumbling, before looking up to see that the sun was creeping higher in the sky. “Jerry…it is getting late, let’s just go, he is really weird and I wanna go home…” Sarah whimpered from the pillar. “Oh hush! Be nice Sarah.” Jerry scolded her, before grumbling a bit to himself. “Although it is getting late…say mister do you have a place to stay tonight? Maybe you could come home with us.” He smiled happily. "O...kay." The man now called Luke nodded softly in agreement, likely without real knowledge of what he was agreeing to, shifting on the wet ground and attempting to stand, as if for the first time, as his legs were wobbly and unstable before he finally stood up, as Sarah let out a gasp. "Jerry, watch out! He has guns like the bad men mommy told us about!” the girl yelled out, pointing accusingly at Luke’s belt. Looking down Luke noticed what the girl meant suddenly. There, inside holsters on his belt, were two large twin pistols though hidden by the belt it was obvious they were much larger than most other weapons of the same type. Luke reached for them, drawing them just so, his attention seemed captivated by the things, they felt…familiar to him, safe. Holding them in his hand, Luke felt a sense he could not describe, examining the weapons in the approaching midday sun. Both weapons were large, resembling long barreled revolvers, though there was no visible way to load the chamber, which on each was made of a thick, sleek metal that sparkled in the light of the sun, the left one a lighter shade then the right, which was a darker shade, holding both next to one another it was as if comparing the sun and moon. The barrel of each was long, easily making up a majority of the weapon’s length, the grip felt comfortable in his hand, though the leather glove fit made it hard to tell, it felt like rubber, soft against his hand, yet had a shine that resembled being polished. Luke suddenly snapped back to reality, realizing he was wielding weapons in front of these children, swiftly holstering them, the one action that did not seem to take him thought, as they quickly were hidden again. "No I mean to harm, I…" Luke spoke quickly, his mind still numb as if from a long sleep. "Of course he does silly! You would have to be an idiot to walk around without something to protect yourself." The red haired boy accosted his sister, before repeating his offer to Luke with a smile. “Its ok mister, we all gotta protect ourselves nowadays now com’on we are gonna be late!” He nodded, offering his hand to the man. Luke stared at him for a while before slowly reaching out and grasping Jerry’s much smaller hand with his own gently, his own smile forming on his face. With that, the children led their new friend to a small village nearby, away from the ruins the man had known or rather not known during his long sleep. Perhaps the crimson man had found a home to take him in…?

“Innocence is never forever, either you have it ripped from you…or you wake up.” ~Wise Tuba-player -It has been several years since Luke first arrived at the little town, in that time he had learned much about the people that had so kindly taken him in, remaining in this place and never straying too far from home. On that day that the children returned with Luke, the adults of the town instantly responded with caution to the man, telling the children not to lead strangers back to town that it was dangerous, leaving Luke on the city limits to fend for himself. Luke, however simply sat there, as if a puppy at a loss for what to do next. He remained there, sitting at the edge of town for likely a day or so before the people noticed his plight, and began to feel for the man, eventually offering him food and shelter. The man’s innocence caught the people off guard, as no one was assumed to be so in the world they were use to, and while they didn't fully understand it they gradually became grateful for it. His nature seemed kind, and anyone that needed help Luke would gladly do so often at expense of his health, earning himself a home here, the only one he had ever known. It isn't sure how long he stayed there, the seasons changed many times, yet Luke himself never aged from the day he arrived, but he was happy, content living in this place that had shown him the meaning of peace, and family. He enjoyed this period for many years... -"Damn, these are so good Karen!" Luke gushed over the woman's cooking in front of him, who wore a torn apron fitted over a dusty dress. "I really have to pay you back, I wouldn't feel right just taking these." he finished off as he shoved the final pastry in his mouth loving the gentle sweet taste it left on his tongue, downing it with a quick chug of water. "Oh hush Luke.” The woman almost blushed, waving her hand in a ‘stop it’ gesture. “I told you, you are welcome to my cooking anytime." She smiled, brushing a bit of the black well taken care of hair out of her face, easily in her late 20s to early 30s. "But these are expensive to make! This stuff doesn't just grow on trees..." Luke groaned a bit, quoting a line a certain someone else always reminded him of. The women sighed a bit, looking over at him "Fine, fine... go... fetch some water then, we are running low on the tank anyway, you know where the filter is I hope?" She asked, ensuring Luke was listening to her. He wasn't and had already begun to leave at the beginning of her sentence. "I'll be back soon! I promise!!" He shouted, as Karen simply shook her head softly, smiling. “That boy I swear…” -As Luke made his way through town, it was busy as it usually was this time of day, though it wasn’t that big to begin with. There were quite a few people walking past, Luke noticed a couple of men that seemed to be tinkering with some large machine. Luke recalled it being used for power, they must be tuning the thing, he thought, turning and watching as a couple not far away in the shadows were enjoying a bit of ‘private time’. Luke simply chuckled, and continued on his way. Being that the sun was high in the sky, Luke figured it must be noon or at least soon after, along with fact that the school up ahead had let out and a small crowd of children were rushing home. As he passed by the school, a small girl in a bright yellow dress, specked with a bit of dust, rushed in front of Luke, holding up her arms as if to stop him, seemingly in her early to mid teens. "Luke! Have you seen Jerry? I have been looking for him all day..." the girl groaned a bit, balling her small fists in frustration. “He skipped school again! And I am not taking responsibility with mommy.” She crossed her arms angrily. Luke looked down at the small bundle of worry before him with a curious look on his face. "Jerry? Oh, you mean your brother is hiding out again?” Luke almost sighed, chuckling softly. “I see…I haven’t seen him all day, I’ve been at Karen’s since I woke up.” Luke explained, only further angering the small girl. “Oh! You’re not helping Luke!” Sarah grumbled frustrated. “The teacher blamed me for him being gone, the dummy.” Luke sighed, reaching down and patting the girl on the head with a smile “Now, now, I’m sure you will find him, and if not, how about I help you when I get back?” Luke offered, smiling at the girl, who looked up at him with her own rich hazel eyes in disappoint. “Karen needs me to get some water for her, so I’ll be right back ok?” Luke encouraged her, placing a hand on her shoulder, smiling “Besides, he has yet to beat you in hide and seek anyway right?” He chuckled “I’m sure you will find him.” Sarah looked up at him; her face seemed to brighten a tad, turning her face to the side as she whispered. “Fine…" The girl seemed to be attempting to keep her frustrated tone, before running off past Luke’s leg, turning around half way and yelling out to him. “Hurry back though, ok?! I won’t forget your promise!”She said, before continuing to run. Luke smiled as he watched her go, turning around and continuing on his way.
-After a few moments of traveling, Luke finally found the filter tank for the village, near a river not far away. Luke had taken a wrong turn, and had to travel down the river the long way it seemed, he never was good with directions. After finally arriving, Luke brought the satchel he carried with him, slung over his back, forward and opened the tap, filling the thing to the brim with water. As he did, Luke grunted in effort, slinging it over his back and standing up. “Whew…alright hopefully that will be enough.”Luke sighed, turning back in the direction of the village and began to head back. As he did, however, Luke noticed a man nearby, with spiked shoulder pads and a Tire Iron on his belt with a sneer on his face, leaning against the burnt out husk of a tree. The man shifted just so as Luke approached, turning his bloodshot eye to the man as he walked, sluggishly from the heavy cargo. "Hello there stranga… whatchya got there...?" the man spoke, his voice raspy to match that of a smoker, a grin on his face only to reveal foul looking teeth. Luke turned from where he was walking to the man, his expression surprised before he smiled happily. "Oh... I have water for my family back home is all." Luke spoke proudly, a bit surprised to see anyone else here. “We were running low so I went to bring some back.” "I see that... those be some fine looking weapons you have there friend." The strange man added, pointing at the pistols Luke kept at his side with a sneer. “I’m sure they be worth a fortune to any weapon smith.” Luke looked down at the weapons he kept at his side with a bit of surprise; he was use to people ignoring them as he often did. "Oh you mean these things? I hardly ever use them, heh..." Luke attempted to laugh, giving the man a smile as he was used to, changing the subject. “Ah, who are you if I may ask? I don’t remember…” Luke was cut off. "Oh really? Well now that’s a real shame eh..." The man grinned, ignoring Luke’s question, as he finished the sentence, several larger men appeared from behind nearby trees and rubble, all of them wearing similar armor with shoulder spikes, one held sledgehammer, another wielded a baseball bat. "How about you share some of those supplies with us friend?" the smaller man hissed now, a more powerful tone of arrogance filling his throat as the group began to surround Luke. Luke nodded happily to the men, reaching into his knapsack, slung beside the water tank he had filled earlier. "Oh that’s right! How careless of me, I would be happy to share anything I have travelers." Luke said, as if generally apologetic, muttering as he dug through the bag "I don't have too much to spare...I need to return most of this for my family, but here." Luke offered the small man a handful of plants, bread, a few meat products and a container of water. “I hope this is enough to send you on your way.” He smiled "What? Do you think this is some kind of joke!?" The small man now spoke louder, as if annoyed. "I'm telling you to give us everything on you boy, or else." He growled, swatting the items out of Luke’s hand, as he stepped forward, though not matching Luke’s height, seemingly to impress his larger friends. "Huh? But… I can’t sir, I am sorry if you need more but my family needs the rest..." Luke almost apologized, bowing to the man a bit. "Oh I see... a smart ass huh? I say we teach this punk a lesson about playing games with us." The group nodded, drawing their blunt weapons, and closed in around Luke. The first strike, the baseball bat, slammed into the back of Luke's knees, downing him, as the group beat against his back into the ground. Grunting and coughing from the beating Luke called out in pain "Stop!" of course to no avail. His vision felt hazy, when suddenly he heard a whisper he had normally only heard in his dreams... *They are evil...* Luke's eyes shot open as he yelled louder "Please stop! You don't know what you are doing!" which only seemed to spur them onwards as the sledge wielder slammed the hammer head against Luke’s side, sending him rolling in the dirt, before they surrounded him again. *They must be stopped...* it whispered again… deeper…darker each time. *Kill them...* "N-No! I... I won't!" Luke shouted in pain, unsure if it was the beating or the fear that choked his throat. "Not giving up eh boy? You just don't know when to QUIT!" A larger man grunted with effort as he swung the hammer down onto Luke's abdomen. *They hurt you...Kill them...* the voice was getting louder reverberating against the inside of Luke’s mind, his vision blurring; it was never this strong before. "I can't! I won't..." Luke strained *Kill them...before they kill you * It retaliated, as Luke almost felt a hand grip at his throat. No! I...I..." *They will kill your loved ones! Kill them all now!* the voice demanded
-Slowly Luke's vision regained itself... dizzy, bruised, as he slowly realized he was standing. His head was pounding, his eyes aching, before he slowly regained his senses, and looked around his feet. The men from before, mere moments ago were attacking him, laid there, motionless. Though it wasn’t the bodies that drew Luke’s attention, more drawn to the growing pool staining the dusty earth below. The thick pool of crimson liquid matched Luke’s coat in color as it slowly spread out from under them, the bodies on their side, others were facedown. Luke looked on in horror, turning up, his blue eyes wide in shock, as he saw the smaller man he had met before standing before him, stumbling backwards into a tree, a terrified look in his eye. "Y-You’re a fucking psychopath!" He stammered pushing back against the tree, before shifting so he wasn’t backed against it anymore, never taking his eyes off Luke or the bodies that surrounded him. Luke looked at the man, sympathetic and shocked “No! I…I didn’t!” Luke tried to explain before the other man cut him off. "You won't get away with this! Y-You hear me?!" he shouted, turning tail and attempting to run, tripping over stumps and limping as he went. -Luke stared at all the men that lied dead before him in horror, collapsing to his knees and shedding tears for them all, cursing what had happened. After a moment of mourning, Luke placed his bags down and dug each man a grave, burying them and placing an offering at each and a prayer, tears still staining his face. Not sure of exactly how much time had passed, Luke finally made his way back just as the sun set. “Luke? Sweetie what’s wrong? You look like you just seen a ghost…” Karen spoke up as Luke made his way inside the two story building she seemed to run, dropping the supplies he brought by the door. “Its…nothing Karen, don’t worry yourself please.” Luke spoke softly, hushed waving his hand just so to her, only inciting her curiosity. “Luke you know you can talk to-“ “I said It is nothing…Karen, please.” Luke looked up at her, his eyes cutting deep to her heart, she could tell his heart was in pain…and it pained her as well. “…Al-…alright Luke…” She sighed softly, turning down for a minute. “You missed dinner by the way…” She said, attempting to change the subject no doubt. “That is…fine, I don’t have much of an appetite anyway.” He attempting a small laugh “That’s a first huh Karen heh…” “It is…” She replied softly, walking over to Luke’s side, reaching down and softly gripping his hand. “It worries me.” She whispered, turning her eyes to his. “I just…need some rest.” Luke insisted, shrugging past her and heading to his room upstairs. “Sarah was talking about you.” Karen spoke up loud enough for him to hear. “She said you promised something…” Luke smiled softly, turning around to see her. “Ah…I almost forgot heh.” He shook his head softly before turning up “Can you tell her…tomorrow? First thing I promise.” He smiled the best he could for her, as Karen took a moment before nodding, turning around to pick up the supplies Luke left at the door.
As Luke made his way to bed, he ran his hand across his cheek. The cut that was there was all but gone by now, and his bruises and aches were essentially nothing to what they were earlier. Luke found it strange, though he never seemed to stay hurt for long. His mind in shambles, Luke could not think of anything other than sleep, which he promptly fell into as he hit the bed. *Killing them was necessary...* "No...They were people" Luke struggled to speak, looking around only to see pure darkness. *They would have killed you... you must defend yourself.* "Don't…justify what I did." he spoke, his voice seemed to strain with guilt. *Dear child... you have no choice in the matter... Killing is inevitable...* a second voice spoke... softer, yet dark all the same then the first. "No! Such a thing is…Who…are you!? Why do you taunt me so?" Luke spoke up finally. There was a silence...before one spoke up. "I am Alpha..." The softer voice spoke up; Luke turned and felt the voice in his left ear almost whispering sweetly as a mother would do to their child. "And I am Omega..." The harsher voice growled almost, Luke turned to the right, as if the being was at his side, but saw only darkness. The voice matched that of a powerful male, holding Luke’s attention without cause for him to yell. Luke shook his head as he listened, angrily “Then why do you torment me?” He nearly screamed at them. "I am the beginning... of youth.” The softer voice spoke. “It is my duty to ensure you see the world for what it is around you...and to keep you alive, ensuring you do not become lost.” "And I am the end... of restraint.” The deeper voice boomed. “I am to help you tear down your useless inhibitions so you may access the true power within... and bring a swift end to your foes." "You aren't answering me..." Luke spoke with increasing impatience "Who are you!?" he shouted now. There was another silence, before in unison they said. "We are parts of you… all part of the same whole..." As they announced this Luke could see a small light shining at his sides, one of a silver-white, the other a darker purple that somehow still cut through the blackness. Suddenly, a soft whisper came to Luke's ears. "You have been asleep too long dear child...the time has come to wake up." The softer voice, Alpha, whispered to Luke. “The time has come to awaken the power within you and bring an end to your foes.” The darker, heavier voice, Omega, spoke, as if demanding. Luke held his hands to his head almost in pain. “Stop…shut up! I am not asleep; I just want to live with my family in peace!” He cursed, holding his head tight, though it did not stop their power in their tones. Then, in unison they spoke again. “If you refuse to awaken, then you must be shown the reality of the world! You cannot live in ignorance forever young one.” The voices hissed, taking hold of Luke’s mind once more. “Awake yourself, and watch as your reality unfolds around you!” The last phrase echoing in his mind, Luke sat up fast in bed, screaming and a cold sweat over taking him. A few moments of panting, and regaining his composure, Luke slowly slid his hand over his face groaning. "Damn dreams..." he cursed... looking out the window, when something hit his nose... it burned at his senses. "Smoke..." he whispered, something was burning. Luke hopped out of bed, throwing on his red duster, quickly lacing himself up as he ran downstairs, noticing no one was in even though it was nearly midnight. Making his way out the door, Luke could see the moon hanging brightly in the sky. As he stepped out doors, it was dead quiet, even the night creatures held their tongue it seemed. Luke turned his eye around him, to see...what will come to haunt his nightmares for years to come. There, in front of him, bodies all thrown about, all lying deathly still on the earth their faces twisted into the most...horrid expression. Luke stood there, motionless as he slowly approached the closest body to him...turning it over to see the face of a young woman, in her late 20s or so, long black hair, wearing a dusty looking dress and apron. "K-Karen!?" Luke choked, feeling something in his chest twist as if a dagger had struck him. Kneeling there, Luke felt tears stream down his face as he ran his hand over her cheek, weeping at the sight before him, when suddenly she reached out, gripping his hand as strongly as she could. “L-Luke…” She coughed, blood dripping down her lip, her eyes were hazy and white, and she wasn’t long for this world. “Karen!? Karen talk to me! What happened!? Stay with me…please.” Luke was crying much harder now, his hand tightly gripping hers “Don’t die…” He whimpered. “Luke I…I’m so sorry…sweetie.” She whispered, running her hand over his cheek. “Please…you have to get out of here… I don’t want…them to get you too.” She was crying Luke could see tears staining her already blood soaked clothes. “No! What about you Karen? I have to get-“He was cut off. “It’s too late…for me sweetie.” She whimpered a smile on her tear-filled face. “As long as…you are safe, I will be happy.” She struggled, cupping Luke’s cheek with her hand. “But I…Karen…” Luke looked down at the woman, his eyes flooded with the river of tears, as he held her hand tightly. “It’s alright…just please…get out of here alive…” She struggled, attempting to move up, where Luke quickly assisted her “You’ve…grown up so much…I know you will…do good for yourself… promise me?” She chuckled softly, Luke listening intently as she spoke. “I…I do… I swear it to you.” Luke struggled, holding her tightly to his chest. “But you will watch me right? I can get you to safety I-“Luke attempted, choking on his own sobs. “Thank…you.” She whispered, smiling, giving Luke a kiss on his cheek before falling backwards softly in Luke’s arms. “I’ll watch you… I promise.” She whispered, before going limp in his arms. Unsure of how long he stayed there, Luke staggering up, looking in front of him, down the road he saw a large bonfire... and several men all drinking and laughing as they chucked, what seemed to be bodies into the fire. Watching them...have their own little party on the graves of his village... Luke slowly made his way to them, as he got closer he noticed a body on the ground nearby... one of a little girl in a small yellow dress, specked with a bit of dirt and blood, lying still in the dirt, her face emotionless unlike the rest, bank and empty. Luke could feel his heart falling to pieces, but at the same time something else builds within... *Destroy them...* whispered in his ear. Luke was silent, staring at the large mob of partying men...and noticed the spiked shoulder pads from the men before... his thoughts no longer registered *They took your life from you...now take theirs* the whisper grew louder, and in strength. Luke slowly drew both pistols, about the time the gang noticed him. "Well, well, well... If it isn't the funny man from before." A small man appeared, the one from before, now toting an assault rifle, matching the ones carried by all the men behind him. "I told you, you would pay for killing my buddies you little shit." He sneered at Luke, his pride from before almost leaked from those hollowed out holes one would call eyes in his head. "You...you killed everyone here... for revenge!?!" Luke almost screamed, to which the gang laughed heartily, causing some of them to lean over. "I didn't mean to kill them I-" Luke was cut off "Revenge? We didn't care about those sodding idiots." one of the older men laughed, pointing the barrel at Luke with one arm "We just wanted to teach a punk like you a lesson, but hey some free supplies helps too!" He shouted and was returned with laughter from the others. *Click* Luke was now aiming both pistols at them all, silent... his normally peaceful blue eyes were burning in fury, his teeth grind, as his fingers, as if having known it all along, cocked the trigger back, holding it tightly, as the barrel shone in the moonlight. Luke pulled the trigger hammer back on the remaining pistol...locking it in place... staring intently at the group. *Click* "Oh look, the boy wants to have a gunfight with his little blowguns there." One of the skinnier males from the front announced, taking aim with his assault rifle as the others began to. "Let’s show him what real guns do. Silent, Luke softly heard whisper in his ear as it reverberated through his mind until he whispered it... "Alpha..." he spoke, pulling back both triggers at a speed many couldn't fathom, bullets flying like a sheet of hail at them all before many of them even shot off one bullet. It didn't take long, less than the blink of an eye it seemed like, before the entire mob laid dead, riddled with holes that had thrown some into the fire they made even, giving a soft taste of irony that was not lost on Luke. He stood there... his hands not moving, as the barrel gently leaked smoke, rolling skywards taking in what had happened. "I'll kill you bastards for what you did!" a shout came flying through the air above Luke, filled with anger, soaked in blood lust, as Luke turned his eyes to above him. Not enough time, must react his body knew, shifting his position to fire off a bullet into the falling figures head, causing the sharp weapon to fly off into the distance. Breathing a soft sigh Luke turned his eyes to take a look at the figure... and saw the familiar body of a small, red haired boy. "Jerry..." dripped from Luke's lips... falling to his knees in front of the small body staring down at his handy work. Luke felt the tears that had not stopped falling from earlier, multiply. They streamed down his face dripping from his jaw onto the lifeless body below him over and over, holding one hand up, as if to try and stop it, but to no avail. No time for mourning one could say... as the remainder of the gang that had not arrived yet, did, and were not happy to see their friends slaughtered. Luke sat there the boy in his arms, his sobs could barely be made out, though it was clear he was inconsolable the men shouted instructions, and surrounded him. "Sorry boy... it is just business." An older man in a suit said as he walked nearby, holding up a revolver as the other men held up their weapons as well. Silent again, Luke sat there his tears staining his face down to his coat, even down to his blood soaked hands, softly whimpering as he attempted to dig a grave for the boy. As he attempted this, the older man grew annoyed with being ignored and fired off a shot into Luke's shoulder. The revolver shot went deep, shooting pain through his whole body. Luke felt it, and simply ignored after the initial grunt of pain, which could have easily been from his sobs. Luke slowly stood now, leaving his job half done, his body pulsated with a blue aura that slowly surrounded him. "You...did this..." Luke spoke softly, the aura quickly consuming his form, his voice rising in octaves to counter the whisper in his ear *Destroy them* "W-What the hell..." the older man stuttered noticing the color change, taking another shot, this time it hit Luke's other shoulder, causing him to flinch, before he spoke again. "You killed...everyone." Luke ordered...almost like a question, as his voice continued to ascend. "What the hell if wrong with all of you!? Shoot him now!" The older man demanded, the others hesitating for a moment as the aura from before seemed to flow over the town now, pulsating with that of a heart beat. "You are responsible for everything!!!" Luke turned around now, his eyes burning a deep blue and white, shining like a demon of some sort through the darkness of night, his pistols seemed to pulsate along with him. The men finally snapped back to reality and began firing at Luke, the hail of bullets some making it entirely through him, others tearing at his chest and limbs, yet no matter how many struck him he stood all the same. Luke stood there, aiming his right arm to the elder man in charge... slowly the barrel glowed a bright blue as a small pin popped out of the side, sending waves of crackling white and blue energy down his arm to his shoulder. His coat blew back, the leather torn into pieces, making his arm visible, along with deep azure colored runes down his arm, marking him to his shoulder. Luke could be heard, screaming now, his voice piercing the gang's ears, his voice cut through the night air as if a man was being tortured in the most horrid of ways, begging for the release of death, yet it was unsure if it was pain…or distress. Luke's arm seemed to come apart, his skin searing away as pure energy flowed through it, morphing, his elbow cracking and forming a growth, while a sphere of spinning blue energy came alive inside the enclosed growth, and began to spin, sparking sharp cracks in the air from the swirling power. As this happened, Luke's right hand fused with Omega, his pistol, the grip and chamber disappearing under the white growth that was over taking his arm, bullets continued to hit it from the gang, bouncing off the new attachment. The barrel now the only part exposed widened until it fit the size of the transformation. Luke finally stopped screaming... taking aim with the massive weapon, easily several feet long, his voice soft at first...before raging into a primal call "OMEGAAAAAA!!!" while the barrel let loose a deep aqua shaded blast, flying into the ground near the gang, who by now were attempting to run. The blast however began to form a massive wall of energy, before it finally engulfed the entire town in an enormous ball of light, the energy rocking the earth itself it seemed, sending cracks through fault lines, and blowing back trees unlucky enough to be in the blast radius. -When the moon finally showed light onto Luke's face once more... he stood there, his arm bleeding deeply... huge gashes left from the attack, leaving scars he wouldn't soon forget. Smoke rising from the crater, ash surrounded him, all the sights that had brought him so much joy...and pain, were nothing but ash now...Yet forever engraved onto him. -There is no way to tell how long he waited at the bottom of that crater...the only voice he could hear where those of praise from the beings by his side. Many times, the sun and moon rose and set, leaving the dilapidated body in the carter in peace…as he slowly recovered. Finally, Luke responded back to them, after ages of silence. “I am awake…”
